Of course, he's a chow hound who loves anything edible, but this is a good quality grain-free food containing l-carnitine, which my vet cautioned was important to helping maintain muscle mass in older dogs. So this dog came to me the first of this year at 9 years old, quite obese, and I chose this food because of the ingredients, the l-carnitine, and importantly the lower calorie count. With careful portion control, and bulking up his meals with low-sodium green beans so that he feels satisfied, he has lost 8 pounds in the past six months.

I started trying different Senior type food for my dogs about 6 -8 years ago .Until I settled with this brand 3 years ago . My dogs love to eat it and my foster /rescue dogs are eating it too. They poop regularly. Their weight are stable except for my 2 oldest who doesn’t seem to eat much dry food are actually loosing weight ,so I have to supplement their meal with fresh food .Their energy level has been very good .They love their walks. The oldest still goes out of the doggy door to pee except at night time.If only someone else doesn’t give them junk treats my dogs would be fine.However i stoped getting it from Amazon because the bag is always a mess and the price is more expensive

My dog lives this food. He used to have another premium brand but the without went down over time. A pet nutrition expert recommended this one and it's keeping him young, happy and healthy. He loves the flavor.

My senior golden retrieve mix LOVES this food! I’ve struggled for most of the 5+ years I’ve had him to find food he liked or would eat consistently. I would try some of the more expensive healthy options and he would eat it for about the first month then refuse to eat. We have been buying Nulo for almost a year now and he still gets so excited for meal time that he jumps around. He has also gotten more youthful since we switched. He use to just lay on the couch but now he is playing with the other dogs and his toys all day long.

I cant say anything about the flavour but from what I can tell - my 15 yr old Aussie/Elkhound mix loves it - and its great finally finding a grain free food she isnt allergic to - her skin and coat finally are back to normal. My only issue is this: When I first purchased this product back in March - it was 62$ not even 2 months later its costing 10$ more. Bad business practice if you ask me but I'm gonna keep buying because she enjoys eating again.

My dog is 13 yrs old and around 80 lbs. He was moaning, having loose stools and have difficulty jumping onto my bed. I'm not sure if it was his stomach or joints causing him to be so uncomfortable but after changing his food to Nu-lo he is no longer moaning and groaning. He can get onto my bed and his stool is normal. It is a bit pricey but that's a small consideration for him to be more comfortable and happy

My old dog didn't care for the trout, but my puppies loved it. So I changed my order for my senior dog to lamb.

I can't afford to feed ONLY this to my dog....... so I add it as a topper to my dogs regular Trader Joes type of dry dog food and she LOVES IT. I just grab a handful and sprinkle it on top. Because of how I use it , it lasts a long time and is worth the price. I will continue to buy for her :)
