Sexist Packaging
The packaging only shows boys. Very sexist. I bought this for my daughter and had to hide the box so she wouldn’t be put off. Disgusting!Item works well, with or without a male member.

Still waiting to find the treasure
Bought this for my 7 year old grandson. He is a very curious child and he is absolutely thrilled with this. Loves being able to know what things have metal in them. After the first 4 hours the beeping noise is a little annoying 😁, but a really great present.

It’s ok
So it’s ok. I bought it for my daughter who wants to hunt for treasure and ‘history’ the name sold it to me, the trouble is the sensitivity isn’t there. If you look over grass you’d better hope the grass is short, penetration is non existent.Surface laid coins on a beach is about it.Overall I’m disappointed.Rather pay a bIt more for one where you can actually detect something..

Good little device
Bought this for a nine year old and tbh I wasn’t expecting too much but it’s really good. It’s well built and lightweight so he doesn’t get tired using it and the height range is good too. We tested it and it is very sensitive and can pick up coins etc just under the dirt. I don’t think it would pick up anything buried very much but for general searching it’s great. I borrowed it after the joiner had been and picked up screws he’d left in the gravel in the driveway. This found them all so cheaper than a puncture repair.

Looked very good - but did not last !
I bought this last August and gave it to my Grandson in December for his Birthday. He was thrilled ! I just found out that despite careful use it lasted 3 months and that was it !! I was not informed as his parents did not want to disappoint me - I am not happy. At nearly £40 i wish theyhad told me and I could have returned it. I only found out from his older Sister.I really think this is very poor value and although there is a delay, expect either a Refund or a replacement . I thought I had made a good choice with the National Geographic recommendation. Buyer Beware ...... feel rather sad as I bought a Treasure seekers book recently for him to enjoy along with it during this lockdown.
