How does this compare to the older model s900A?

Per Hawaiian Ice’s website: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE S900A & THE S777? The S900A Electric Shaved Ice Machine is also great for parties but very small parties and for making cool treats here and there. Whereas, the S777 HomePro can go and go! Let's just say it's the powerhouse of home-use shaved ice machines.

It makes some noise. It's a motor shaving ice after all. However, it's not terribly loud, nor goes it need to run more than a few seconds to make a nice bowl of fluffy cold goodness. Its less noisy than a vacuum cleaner.
