The level of control this phone gives you to modulate it's power use/charge is next level.If you watch any teardown videos, you'll see the engineering bassery that went into its design.After almost 6 months (while using the battery options) I've not seen any decrease in the usability of the device, still lasting me a day and half if I need it to with my usage.Yes, it has a -weaker- center than most phones, but it is -not weak.-I do use the finger sensor, but from what I understand it uses optical tech (inferior.)The only con I have is that there aren't very good cases out there for such a niche phone.Oh, and as a company they consider phones a usable resource, offering no official battery replacements afaik. (Which is not to say it can't be done by someone with know-how.)

Let me start this off with some good points. The picture is clear, the phone is fast (though the UI is a bit weird to get used to), and the sound quality is probably the best I've seen out of a phone in years.With that said, the issues.Firstly, you can not return this device. Both amazon and the resellers will fight tooth and nail because it has a lithium battery which is classified as "hazardous materials" so you can't actually mail it back (so they say). If you don't want the headache of 'what if' then stop reading here and go to another phone.Now that really bad parts...The phone runs hot, REALLY hot. If you are not expecting it, it will idle at temps that can burn your leg if you aren't careful.This phone runs a base OS of android 11. When you buy it, it WILL want to update to android 12 and then to android 13. It can probably run both of these OS updates pretty easy, however, one of them will stop the phone from being able to connect to wifi and have a really shoddy data connection.There are a lot of "fixes" suggested all over for this issue, but the reality is none of them work. At least not in the way that it really fixes the problems, most are bandaids at best.The only fix is to send it in for an RMA and send to Asus to have it repaired. If what is posted on the forums of repair/fixit sites is to be believed, Asus replaces the motherboard and locks the phone to android 11. Now that does fix the issue, but you can not update after that. Normally not an issue, but the longevity of the phone is now reduced as those updates bring a lot of features and security to our devices.tl;dr It'll break on update and you can't fix it yourself.

I originally had a Samsung Galaxy S21 through T-Mobile. I was not happy with the device particularly with gaming. Discovered this phone through YouTube and did my research on the device before I bought it. The phone is great. The device has better thermals than my S21 which got pretty hot. Gaming is a lot better and there's many options in the software to help boost it. The air triggers are great for gaming. I use them for multiple emulators. Also the one sold here works with TMobile. Reception is great. And finally the battery life is great. Nice big battery with good power management. Maybe the device could be slightly cheaper but in all I'm happy

Thought this was for the 5s pro, it is not. Still works well as a protective case but cutouts will not fit back panel touchpoints. Air triggers still work, screen is covered.The material is nice and grippy!

Probably the best gaming phone sold for USA GSM frequencies. It's also extremely fragile with no IP rating, so get a good case.

Absolute garbage of a phone. Random crashes multiple times in a single day.Phone is literally a paper weight waiting to happen.Will not buy another ASUS product in my life again.

It's amazing, and. Not necessarily unhappy with it. I do wish I would have gotten a newer note though. There's a few weird things different vs coming from being a note user. Like being able to turn off the phone without putting in a pin or unlocking, pretty big security flaw there. Other phones I've used requires you to unlock phone before turning off. Also, in calculator app, if you need to modify the equation, you have to delete all the way to part you want to modify, then retype the rest. Unlike other calc apps where you can move the cursor to any part and edit there. A few other small weird things, but over all, it's a good phone
