Got this to replace an older Sony stereo. Love the fact it supports 2 bluetooth phones simultaneously but just be aware that the second phone can only receive/place calls; no streaming or other functionality. Sounds great and installation was pretty easy. Bluetooth range is good (as this is on a boat and the phone is not always near the stereo). The screen is white LED letters/numbers with red (cannot change colors) backlit highlights surrounding it. User interface is difficult to get used to and the Sony Music Center app (iOS or Android) really helps (switching between sources, fader, etc.). Using the app also allows use of other services like YouTube Music, Apple Music, iHeart Radio, Tune-In, etc. (but these must be added to your phone first!). There are no AUX inputs on the rear of the unit. Adding my self-powered subwoofer was easy. Truly an upgrade from my previous radio!

All I wanted to do was modernize my '94 mazda b4000 a little bit with bluetooth, and this fit the bill perfectly! This head unit is physically not as deep because it doesn't take CDs, so it's great when wiring harnesses take up space in the dash. Easy to set up, easy to pair a phone, and great sound quality. For that price and Sony reliability, it's an easy choice.

I've had it for just under a year. Took me a few weeks to figure out how to install it and to get the necessary wiring harness. I only use the most basic functionality but it sounds great. Two issues with it: (1) it is not at all obvious how to get out of the menu mode that you enter by pressing in on the volume knob; instead of there being any "exit" option on the menu, the only two ways out are (a) shut off your car to de-power the radio, or (b) read the manual to learn that hitting the "back" button (usually used to skip around in the playlist) TWICE will apparently do it. This was, until I read the manual, a serious pain in the <bleep> because there is no automatic volume level thing, and the knob is insanely sensitive to the slightest inward touch -- if, while driving, it goes from a quiet song that you had to raise the volume to hear, to something obnoxiously loud, and you accidentally just barely press the knob inward as you try to drag down the volume, you had better know how to get out of the menu or prepare for tinnitus. Or do an unstart and restart while on the highway at 70mph (not recommended), your choice. (2) not all M4A audio (MP4's audio stream) will play back on it. I don't know if it's a question of too high or too low a bitrate, or something else, but about a third of the tracks on my flash drive just get skipped. I've had to convert them to MP3. I have not found any explanation of what the limitations are. I haven't tried pairing my phone to it for hands-free use, because contrary to what the legislators decided when they passed "no cellphones in your hands!" laws, the conversation is the distraction. Don't talk and drive, people, or if you do then at least be an organ donor. Overall it has been a major upgrade from my 25-year-old OEM cassette-playing car radio, which had no line-in or digital format playback capabilities. No idea how it compares to present-day new car stereos.

Great Sony radio! Installed in an old Buick Lesabre. Has tons of settings, multiple loud ans eq settings! Nice remote,works great! Face is a little hard to get back on.

Sony quality, glad i bought it. BT works great, auto connect after EZ setup. Replaced a dated Jaguar AMFM CD that was good sound, just had no BlueTooth. Thought that was pretty good- 12 speaker Alpine with sub amp. Holly bawls! Thing scared me! Switched from bluetooth to USB drive & volume went up 3x. Just about lost it. Yes, there's 55 Watts per channel coming out of it. AND clear as a bell. Hearing parts of tunes we didn't know were there- GREAT sound. Buddy Guy's still got it & so does Flo & the Machine. Loud as hell and lovin it. No real downside, it's a simple head unit with amp. The equalizer is standard Rock/kareoke/jazz so kinda ok. If you want better it just costs a bit more. For me this will do. 2 months in & no problems. Heats up pretty warm tho.

Este es el tercer estereo de Sony que tengo y son los mejores estereos, con un sonido impresionante y de mucha definición, 10 ecualizadores, ajuste de graves y agudos y una función REV para definición del sonido y viene con estuche para guardar la carátula, vale la pena por el gran sonido, es un producto a precio muy justo!.

Me gusto mucho, tenía un estéreo de baja calidad y al cambiarlo mejoró bastante el sonido!
