Gabi 13" Slim Calf Women's Leather Boot 13"-14" calf Size

I first ordered a 7.5 which is my normal size. When I first put them on they fit perfect. Calf, Length and height. As I wore them around the house over the course of the day they stretched a lot but rather than becoming bigger, they seemed to shorten in the foot- and my toe was at the end and very uncomfortable. (they probably would have been ok without socks or with tights) I thought they are beautifully constructed and fit my 13 1/2" calf perfectly. I was hesitant to reorder the 8 as I was afraid it would be too high or I'd lose that closeness in the ankle and calf. I am 5'1", 118lbs.Because it was so easy to return and I received my refund quickly (minus one way shipping) I decided to give it a try again. I received my reorder in less than 3 days! The 8 is a tiny bit bigger in calf and height but still slim. The ankle has a little more volume as well- I have very bony feet and tiny ankles. The footbed is more roomy, and because they have no anatomical arch in the boot, I added a heel lift which keeps my foot from sliding forward. I'm keeping the 8s though I think they'd benefit from a thin footbed.The furry lining is in the foot as well and feel great with barefeet. The suede is refined, not rough and stitching/zippers impeccable. The sole is leather, with rubber heel and forefoot. Very high end construction.

The short story:These boots are beautiful in person, fit really well in the calves and are super comfortable (but need some initial breaking in). They came beautifully packaged and seem high quality. Seller was very communicative and I’m very happy with my purchase!The details: Anyone reading this is probably familiar with the issue of regular riding boots being too wide in the calves. My calf circumference is 12.25 in. and my shoes range from 6-6.5 typically. I initially ordered a slim (13”) size 6 boot, but when I received them, they wouldn’t even zip up (imagine my shock!). When I checked inside of the boots, I saw they were actually extra slim. I contacted the seller about receiving the wrong boots and the seller immediately responded and even called me to discuss what shoe would work. The seller sent me a return shipping label and once they received the boots, they shipped me a 6.5 slim (13”) (after consulting me) as they didn’t have a 6 in stock- this ended up being a good thing because the 6.5 actually fit perfectly! When I initially received the 6.5 correct (ie.13”) boots and tried them on, I almost returned them because I felt they were rigid and even though they fit my calves, they pinched my ankles. Because several reviewers said the boots were super comfortable after breaking them in, I decided to give them a chance and wear them to work. By the time I got to work, the leather had conformed to my feet and they were super comfortable! No pinching at all and the ankle felt pretty comfortable (I’m a healthcare professional and I’m on my feet almost all day at work). Also, these boots have a light fleece-like lining and I was worried I would be too hot indoors, but again I was wrong- I wore them at work all day and had no issue with overheating. They just felt cozy. They fit well over leggings as well as skinny jeans- which serves my purpose exactly (but note that theywould probably not zip up over thicker pants or straight jeans). I’m 5’.0 and these boots come up right below my knee. I’m SO glad I kept them and SO glad to finally have boots that fit my calves for the first time in my life!

I stumbled upon these boots online when I lived in Germany and finally decided to order a few pairs recently. Though I am a size 8, I ordered a 7.5 because I feared the boot opening would be larger as the boot size increased. As you can see from the image the boot has a snug fit with leggings so this should be taken into account when ordering. The size of this boot opening may not work well with jeans unless they are skinny jeans or it will be a tight fit. My calf size is 13.5 so I will be ordering a size 8 in the future.What I liked about themThe fit is comfortable, especially in the toe box area. It is suitable for those of us with narrow feet as well. The boot is lined which is a plus because it's really cold in my work area. The overall look of the boot is nice. The attention to detail in the stitching may be one of the reasons they may cost a bit more.What others may not like about them. I could not find anything I did not like.The price may be a bit high. The cheapest pair starts at $125 up to around $200 or more depending on the style. You may not be able to wear boot cuffs or boot socks unless you order a pair with a larger boot opening.As I wait for my next pair to arrive, I will continue my search for slim calf boot options to fill our Amazon carts.

I have very skinny legs do I have never bought boots. My first pair of boots was these in black. So excited to get another color. Waiting for more colors to be stocked.

The media could not be loaded.  I love the color of these boots and style. I even bought them in two different colors!However they are extremely over priced for the quality. For $200 boots I would expect the heels to last a lot longer. My first pair is already very worn down.Secondly, these boots need to be broken in. They are very tight even on my skinny calves. They pinch your legs when you first zip them up to wear them but after a few weeks they feel just fine. They look great with skirts ans jeans.I just think the craftsmanship on the heels could be better and fair pricing should be $125. The customer is paying for the material to make a tall boot.Anyway, I hope this explains my 3 stars and gives a warning to anyone thinking of buying these. They aren’t that bad but they aren’t great either. I just really needed some new boots and this is the only option that came up for skinny legs!
