I pulled the pins out and put them into a factory pioneer plug, which I’ll probably be replacing due to the plug’s lack of retaining pins because the adapter pins were just a bit different. Still, I try to keep wire spices to a minimum so I had to try. Honestly, just buy a plug with wire leads for your factory radio, splice the factory plug (pioneer in this case) into the wire leads (find a online wire diagram for factory oem radio) and now you can remove the radio and you will not have loose pins that might make the radio shut off randomly. Which is what I will be doing. It’s nice having the extra length the new plug you will have built will give you for future projects. Or just cut off the factory plug and splice into that….jk, don’t.

It was very easy snap and go with the original wiring from the Ford escape 2005.. super easy. Especially if you don't need to connect DVD player. Or monitor in that sense.. great product saves tons of money doing it myself and headache of wiring.. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 📻📻🎙️
