Works without flickering or other issues on a 10+ year-old dimmer system
These Bulbrite SORAA MR16 LED's work great with our aging Lutron lighting system. I'm replacing all of the halogen 50 watt MR16's on the system with these bulbs. There's no flickering, which had been a problem with other LED's I've tried. The brightness and color temperature is virtually identical to the halogens. The one disadvantage is the older dimmers on the Lutron system can't dim LED's quite as much as the halogens before they turn off. That's the fault of the dimmer, not the LED's. But for this application, our kitchen ceiling, it's ok because we don't need a very dim setting. It's much better than the alternative solution, upgrading the Lutron system with modern power modules and dimmers, which would also entail replacing the control panel and wall switches. So, essentially the entire system, a very large expense. Here's some details on why this worked:We have a 10+ year-old Lutron lighting system which operates MR16 ceiling lights in our kitchen at various dimmer settings. The current bulbs are GE "Constant Color Precise" halogen MR16's: 12 volt 50 watt bulbs which run super-hot to the touch. They work great, but GE no longer makes these bulbs. We have a few spares, but replacements are nearly impossible to find. I've wanted to switch them to LED's to take advantage of LED's long life, low power and cool operation.I've tried other LED MR16's in the past, but they always flicker because the Lutron dimmers are not designed for LED's. I'm told by an expert that the dimmers on this old Lutron system are "leading-edge phase cut". Most dimmable LED's are designed to work with "trailing-edge phase cut" dimmers. For example, this is why you often have to upgrade older wall switch dimmers if you want to control 110 volt LED bulbs, which is something I've done in other rooms. But these Bulbrite SORAA LED's work great. The description on the Amazon page say they are designed to work with both leading- and trailing-edge phase cut dimmers. The color temperature and brightness are very similar to the GE "Constant Color Precise" MR16's they replaced. As I mentioned above, I can't dim the LED's quite as low as the halogens because the older Lutron dimmers don't supply enough voltage at the lowest setting. But for this application, our kitchen, we don't need a very low dimmer setting.Overall I'm very happy with this solution.

I have had these in the same ceiling cans for months and they run cool and trouble-free
Frankly, if i could give 10 stars I would. My cheaper LEDs were burning out at an alarming rate because my ceiling cans were too insulated and running way too hot. These are expensive, but worth it. The hassle I had before trying to keep up with burn-out lights was very bothersome. I have had these in the same ceiling cans for months and they run cool and trouble-free.

Picture of base on product page is wrong
The picture shows a GU 5.3 (bi-pin) base, but the base is actually the GU 10 studs. The product description does ID the base correctly, but I ordered after a quick look at the picture, and had to return it. I hope this will save someone else the hassle. Amazon, if you fix the picture, you can delete this review.

Just blew after 2.5 years.
This bulb failed after around 1500 hours. I expected the LED to last 20,000 hours but after a few years they seem to be failing. Not much longer life than halogen. Disappointing.

It's really only one bulb!!
The product listing clearly shows in two different places that this product is a 10-pack -- there should be 10 bulbs in the pack. When the package arrived there was only one bulb.
