Works great!
These kinds of egg separators have always been my favorite. I've used it several times now, and it's just as good as I remember. No problems with rust here as of yet. Have had it for ~3 months.There is a trick to using this one, unlike the others. You need to move the whole thing in a circular pattern and eventually the white falls right through. You can't expect for it to just flop through like the others, this one takes some work, for the trade off of no more busted yokes!

it's an amusing tool to look at
works fine. I wouldn't say it's a life-changing improvement over using the two halves of the eggshell to separate the yolks, but you get maybe a bit less egg on your fingers and it's an amusing tool to look at.

Would not recommend
The idea is good but the coils are to close together. Used egg straight from fridge and one that had sat out for an hour. Did not work. Like I said, the idea is great.

Keeps your fingers in-egg!!
Love this thing. I saw it on a Japanese baking video and I had to buy it. I love watching the eggs separate and I love not having to get my fingers all icky.

There's probably a better one out there
Typically with these things all you have to do is tilt it in a counter clockwise rotation so that the egg whites come out, but I feel like the coils on this one are so close together that it never works that way.. I usually have to bounce it until the whites fall out but bouncing it often leads to the yolk breaking and falling into my whites.

Separator Does Not Have a Hook
I am so sorry I ordered this thing because it does not have a hook so that it can be securely attached to a bowl that the egg white is to go into. What it does have is a straight wire that allows the separator to be hung on the wall. I did not look closely enough when I decided to order this gadget and mistook the hanging wire for a hook. Don't waste your money ordering this piece of junk. Carefully look at the separator you are thinking about buying and make sure the wire that extends out is curved or bent so that it can be securely attached to the bowl. I am now ordering another separator--one with a hook and I am throwing this worthless contraption in the trash. Before Covid-19, I would have returned this item; but now it's not worth it to me to risk catching Covid-19 in order to return a piece of junk for a small refund.
