Q: Why is this product advertised as containing only 'naturally occuring sugars' when sucralose is a listed ingredient?!! Has there been a recipe change?

The reason why the protein rules currently contain sucralose is that the manufacturer who produces them for us no longer managed to achieve the right taste without adding a small, small amount of sucralose. The taste of the first samples was just too bitter and the amount of maltitol that would have been needed would have been laxative for many people, which would also be neither healthy nor pleasant. Certain Alpha Foods - such as the shaker or the protein bars - are produced by partners contracted by us, which means that we do not always have full on-site control over the development of the recipe. We decided to offer the new rules with sucralose anyway because the amount is really very low (less than 2% of the European recommended daily intake for a 65kg person). Finally, on each product page you will see all the ingredients we use: We don't use any hidden additives or adjuvants, so you can make the right choice for each recipe.
