Beautiful razor
This razor is beautifully made. It’s only 3 parts and very easy to clean. I’ve been using it for a year and it still looks brand new. This is my first single edge razor. For decades I’ve been toggling back and for between various electric shavers and multi-bladed disposables. There was a bit of a learning curve using this over a disposable. For several weeks I nicked myself almost every day. I have very sensitive skin and if went too fast or over the same area too much I was asking for trouble. Here’s how I get the smoothest, safest shave. First, the angle you hold the razor is critical. I hold it so the blade is at a very shallow angle, with my skin mainly gliding over the head of the razor behind the blade. Second, try to go over each area just once. I hold the razor in one hand and feel for missed stubble with the other. Lastly, rinse the razor head after ever stroke. I usually shave in the shower so this it’s simple and quick to rinse under the shower stream.

Getting Used To
This will be an adjustment in shaving for anyone used to traditional or double-edge razors. It takes a bit of getting used to as blade is thicker and longer than other razors out there. A little fidgety loading too but is a well-made product. If it is redesigned with some pivot would make for an easier shave (but cost way more, sigh). I usually have no issues but this took me longer than expected to adjust too. YMMV.

Must use Feather Artist Club Blades
Most single edge razors use 1/2 of a standard double edge blade. Or special half blades. This razor does not.You must use Feather Artist Club blades or equivalent. This is not bad (but those blades are expensive). However, that point was only mentioned way down the next page & I missed it. Irritating only because now I have to wait another week for Amazon to deliver the blades. Yes, I am a Prime member, but delivery is almost always that bad.

The angle is rediculously steep. Like unnaturally
I don't like giving bad reviews. It's a good razor. I will say that.. I HATE how u almost have to ride the cap to get the angle right, between the light weight and the high angle it tends to pull away from the skin if u hit a bump or twitch mid stroke. Given I'm used to a variant but I have other razors and don't mind them I'm on shave 4 (first blade lasted 3 shaves because I said screw it and dropped the angle.. Yeah it dulled it fast) but I'm just annoyed by the angle. It's by far the steepest angle razor I own. It's just terrible and I honestly wouldn't buy it again., it's a nice razor though and works good for facial shaves. I just hate it as a body shaver.

Aggressiveness has a whole new meaning. Very effective, yet unsuitable for beginners.
Not the usual DE Safety Razor... as you might have already realized this single edge razor uses Feather Straight blades. Treat it as you would a Feather straight and you'll be fine.I tried it with a Proguard blade and got a very close shave. Uncomfortable? Not really. Silky smooth? Don't even think about it... I got zero cuts/nicks, because I'd been paying paying 80%+ attention the whole time.Side by side I paired it up with a EJ86 loaded with Gillette Silver blade. The EJ doesn't even come close in terms of aggressiveness. So is the EJ inferior? By no means! The EJ coupled with a more aggressive blade is excellent for every day shave (0.5 to 1 day growth). The Razorock SE is excellent for heavier growth.Different jobs, different tools.

Didn't work for me. Maybe defective ?
OK, I'm in the minority because I see 12 of the 13 reviews are five-star.This is a very nicely made razor, and appears to be a quality product. For me, though, it just didn't work. Each time I used it, I ended up with a red, irritated face, with chunks of skin missing and several bleeding cuts. I used both Kai Mild blades (Pinks) and Feather Artist Club Professional blades with the same result each time. I'm thinking the razor that I got is somehow defective. That is, the "geometry" of the blade (angle, blade exposure, and blade gap) just isn't quite right, and that's my guess.I've tried changing my technique, going real slooooow, and extremely light. Still, it would irritate and cut more than get rid of whiskers. After multiple shaves, different blades, changing technique, and still ending up with a messed up face each time, I finally gave up.While not a veteran of wet shaving, I think I know how to do it.I have a Rockwell 6c that works beautifully, and I have success with cartridge razors like Gillette Mach 3, Gillette Sensor, Schick X-Treme 3, for example. I currently have a Merkur 23c on the way.Any shaving experts out there, if you think I'm missing something, feel free to chime in.

Great Razor but needs many improvements !!!!
I've used this razor for a month. Good close shave, but the head of the razor has a lot of sharp edges on it,it is too light in weight and it is not made out of steel. Other than that it is a good razor. I bought a handle from west coast shaving and now it has the length and weight I want in a razor. Also perfectly balanced too. Please make a V3 of this razor fixing all the problems that I mentioned with this razor.

Shaving head is too large
Solid, well made product. Two issues. One is the non standard blade. Photo makes it seem like standard injector blades will fit. They do not. For me, the significant issue is the size of the shaving head. I have a beard and it won’t fit my cheek between my nose and beard because of the size. Should be fine for someone who doesn’t have a beard.
