I use this product on both the gold and the crystal and it does a really good job. **Q: Does this product rust metal wires that hold the crystals?** A: I have used this product for many years (at least 10 to 12) and have yet to see any rust caused by it. However, I only clean our three chandeliers once or twice a year so I am not wetting the wires constantly. I highly recommend this product. **Q: Will this rust the metal wires that hold the crystals?** A: I have used this for about 3 months and so far no rust on any part of the chandeliers. It really cleans the crystals well as long as you use a generous amount to completely drench everywhere.
