Camping Lantern, Rechargeable Camping Lights with Solar, Hand Crank and USB Charger, Collapsible Tent Light with Handles, Portable Electric LED Light for Outdoor Camping and Tent

We looked for ages for a lantern to keep for emergencies when the power is out. This is a camping-friendly, well-designed lantern that does the job. It's compact in design with a really bright light. What made us choose this product is that it can also be used for charging phones or devices in an emergency. An absolute plus when the power is out. I recommend this product.

Was in Spain a few weeks ago when we had a national blackout. We had phones, kindles, iPads, a few candles an torch and food to make a few sandwiches for tea. All the essentials, although we worried as the battery levels fell. It was unnerving, but we ‘survived’. But it made us think. The torch was fine to find things, but didn’t particularly light the room. So as soon as I got back I bought this. I specifically wanted a wind up and solar powered lamp. I wanted something that would light an area in a room (should a blackout occur). I’m not sure we could read a book by it (although perhaps if it was on a table by me I could possibly do so). But it’s certainly good enough to provide light. I also have a wind up/ solar radio. So if it happens again, well, we should have all bases covered. I chose the gold mainly because I like to be able to find things, and although it won’t go with my decor, I would prefer something that I can find easily. Seems sturdy, is very light to carry, and easy to use. Very happy, and will probably buy another.

I use this as an emergency backup in case of power outage. Once charged from the mains I leave it on the windowsill where the solar panel keeps it topped up so it will always be ready. It's lightweight but reasonably sturdy and the carry handle is great if I have to pop down to the shed after dark where I can then hang it from a hook in the ceiling. The addition of the charging output is also useful to get a bit of charge into a phone but is only rated at 1A so maybe a bit slow. This crank handle can only be used as a last resort because it is very hard work and doesn't recharge the unit very quickly. If you needed enough power for a few minutes light or to make an emergency call it would be fine. Although the light can be dimmed by partly retracting the lantern back into the housing this doesn't save any power because the led lights are still on, just not visible. However, it is possible to see them go off just before it closes completely. These are only minor quibbles that I expected and so it is still perfect for my purposes.

Nice lamp with decent output. Quality is good for the price and will be useful when I go camping. I'm not sure about battery run time but it's LED bet it's going to be good🤷.

Edit (1st January 2023): the solar panel does charge the lantern but if I'm honest it was a little confusing. The light whilst charging normally goes out on the lantern once charged, but not while charging via solar. Which I understand because it's telling you that its receiving sun light I think. But do not do what I did and think it was taking 5 days to charge when it was only indicating that its receiving sunlight. A way to tell if its charged is to plug it in for a bit via a charger and the light should go off after a few minutes if it's charged. - (Original review: 29th May 2022) ⬇️ Got this lantern for camping, and woah, the battery lasts for ages, never used the solar to charge but I am currently testing it to see how good that charge is. Though the owners said that's just for top ups due to it taking roughly 2 days to fully charge on solar. Which in its self is amazing. One one charge it lasted me 24 hours plus with it constantly being on with no solar help and it only just started to go dim. I am now testing the solar panel from when the dimness started to see its rechargeable capabilities with no mains charging. Overall, its a pretty bright light that you can dim by sliding it back in its housing which I find a hilariously cute design. The build is good, good battery and I shall test the solar and edit this review, its also crank operated but I haven't tested that yet, as I'm trying to test various things without aiding the battery with other outside charging methods. All round good lantern.

Very good, bright light, a torch is on the bottom too , charge via solar, wind handle or USB cable , small enough to stow away in a rucksack , cupboard or drawer. Pull up to switch on , push down to shut off, no switches to fumble for in the dark.

It doesn't work well for charging phones but it makes a brilliant camping light and nightlight for children! I have had mine for a few years and it still works perfectly after many camping trips, if you forget to let it charge in the sun or to plug it in at home the crank at the base let's you get a decent bit of light and the kids love winding it up so mine is usually always fully charged lol!

Quick delivery. Smaller than expected. Beautiful green colour and neat. It can be charged via a solar panel at the top, not able to say if it works as haven't had a chance to put it to the test. The handles, thin feels a little flimsy but holds the unit and useful when hanging. Easy to use. Bright enough to light a room. The torch feature is a great bonus and useful when walking along and want extra light on the ground. The hand wind charge also works but needs about 30min winding. Sturdy and would recommend but definitely feel it is over priced for its size.

Haft med den när jag var ute i skogen funkar verkligen skitbra som lampa. veven för att ladda värkar funka relativt bra, sol laddaren har jag inte testat än.

Ich habe die Lampe für den Notfall gekauft – und genau dafür ist sie auch gedacht. Sie wirkt durchdacht, funktional und kompakt, sodass man sie gut verstauen oder mitnehmen kann. Besonders praktisch finde ich die mehrfachen Lademöglichkeiten: Solar, Handkurbel oder USB – man ist also auch ohne Stromnetz jederzeit vorbereitet. Die Lampe selbst ist ausreichend hell für den Einsatz im Dunkeln, z. B. bei Stromausfall oder im Zelt. Die Verarbeitung ist in Ordnung, alles funktioniert wie beschrieben. Natürlich darf man keine High-End-Taschenlampe erwarten, aber für den Notfall ist sie absolut zweckmäßig und zuverlässig. Fazit: Eine sinnvolle Anschaffung für den Fall der Fälle. Besser haben als brauchen – und dafür genau richtig!
