Memphis Belle (BD) [Blu-ray]

While the plot might not be completely accurate, it is a historically important film that uses a little Hollywood magic - and about eight real-life B-17 flying fortresses - to embellish the 25th mission of the first crew - which, itself was not a complete crew that changed with every mission - and brought some legends - Harry Bellafonte, Sean Astin, and more - in a pagentry of the air over Germany that reminds us that air force crews, as well as every veteran of the Greatest Generation - earned the freedom of the era and worked hard to preserve that freedom for future generations. Good film, and the DVD here is a fairly good update if your old VHS copy isn't any good anymore. Could've used more bonus content.

Heart warming and totally great movie on True facts .. Have a family member who went and watched when the Memphis Belle came out in the theaters and said it was pretty close to actually everythingvthatvhappened he was a POW my Fiance grandfather RIP 🙏 Love this movie

Had seen the original movie years ago. Good rental enjoyed watching it again.Marshall

DVD disk was good, enjoyed the movie, but case was broken.

Based on a true story, Hollywood of course embellished parts of the movie. It still worth watching.

This was another movie that I was tired of waiting and waiting for to be put back on TV. I always knew about the existence of the bomber. I never knew her history. I also never knew about her history since her retirement. One day I hope to get to see her in person at the United States Air Force Museum. It took them 15 years to restore her because she was so badly damaged by vandalism and sitting outside!. She’s fully restored and watching this movie gives you an idea of who she and her crew was.

This film is wonderful. It has suspense and action but is still family appropriate. If your kids loved top gun…. Try this out!

Compiere 25 missioni di bombardamento e tornare sempre a casa può considerarsi un miracolo per un bombardiere nel 1943.Questa è la storia di un equipaggio di 10 uomini e del loro bombardiere, uno dei più famosi aerei delle Seconda Guerra Mondiale.Il film è del 1990, quindi pochi effetti speciali, ma fa capire quanto coraggio e quanto affiatamento (e amicizia) fra l’equipaggio ci voleva per volare su un lento quadrimotore, bersaglio di contraerea e caccia nemici.Unica pecca è che è stato girato in formato 4:3 e, per vederlo in 16:9, si perde un po’ di immagine periferica.
