BosmereN150 1.2mm x 50m Garden Wire

This is a bad product for two main reasons:1. The wire is far to springy. Garden wire should be soft and easily bent. This is very springy which means it doesn't bend as easily as it should and tends to spring in directions it shouldn't and so risks damaging delicate plants.2. The dispenser on which it's supplied is horrible. 100 metres of springy garden wire is held in a plastic outer dispenser by a piece of soft bent cardboard. This pops out at the slightest provocation and vast quantities of springy garden wire escape from the outer container and won't ever fit back in again. Did I mention it was too springy? So now I'm doomed to spend the rest of the summer untangling escaped garden wire instead of having a nice convenient dispenser which lets me pull out lengths as I need them.Huge disappointment, definitely not recommended.

Complete waste of money. Should have acknowledged the other negative review. The spool is contained in a piece of plastic backed by soft, thin cardboard. Within seconds of use, the spool had dropped out of the back and it had entirely tangled. See images. Definitely recommend to purchase a different item where the spool is entirely enclosed in the plastic shell.

The Garden Wire unit arrived and looked extremely good- simply a compact roll of coloured wire on an apparent spool!!!What could be better? Just pull, and the the wire would simply pull out to whatever length was selected ! Then the problem started !!!!!! The rear of the plastic spool,(which kept the wire in place), turned out to be simply a thin cardboard fixture which almost immediately came loose on handling. I fish, so I know about line tangles. Thankfully I managed to stop the entire 100m of wire from exploding everywhere! Had to screw the unit to a back plate, and things are now fine!!! Did I miss something about this product?

The wire is usable, but after one use the badly designed dispenser falls apart leaving you without cutter, and with a mess of tangled wire, making further use frustrating and very time consuming. I should imagine much will be wated once so tangled its impossible to get a useful amount off the roll. Other brands last for years, I feel this is terrible buy, I dont like waste, so will have to persevere, but wish I had warning that despite same cost of others on the market this was terrible quality.

My first use of this product was to attach bamboo bean poles to a tubular metal framework. The gauge of the wire was (just) adequate for this purpose. However, my problem was that, on this first use, the flimsy cardboard backing of the dispenser detached itself and fell off. This released a tangle of wire which I found impossible to re-insert into the plastic dispenser. I am left to try to disentangle the wire, dispose of the dispenser and resort to using my trusty side cutters!
