Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredients Small Breed Bites Dry Dog Food, Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula, 12 Pounds (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I just bought this bag and the food kept having crumbs and the food had little holes forming in it despite of storing in an air tight container. I couldn’t figure out why. Turns out it had larvae. I had to heat it all on a cookie sheet to make sure it was safe for my dog to eat. I really hope that this problem is closely looked into. This is very unsafe. We are very disappointed with this product.

My 10 month-old French Bulldog puppy is doing very well on this diet. He had been receiving a high quality, turkey and chicken-based, food on which he was doing fine until he developed very loose stools and began to chew on his feet that, clearly, were very itchy. After some trial and error, I realized that he was allergic to, at a minimum, the chicken (I don't know about the turkey.). I had also been giving him small bites of boiled chicken as training treats--his digestive and other problems were always exacerbated after the training-chicken-treats routines! I switched to this lamb-based formula and he has been great. So, pup and I are happy. As an aside: I have realized that chicken is in so many dog treats, and I am very careful to read the ingredients in anything that I give him to eat..

I own a French bulldog. He was on Purina before. Since a lot of Frenchies develop sensitivities to chicken and beef I want to avoid chicken and beef. I switched to Nature Balance. Our Frenchie had terrible gas. I started feeding a little plain yogurt and pumpkin and started Nature Balance. His gas problem is not a problem anymore! I am not sure if he likes the flavor to much. He prefers any human food but eats his kibble every day-when he is hungry.

We have a dog with some food allergies and we have been trying to find the right formula both our dogs can eat. We tried this food and love that it is limited in its ingredients. We recently had to change formulas and we were so pleased with Amazon and Natural Balance, we were on the subscription service as to not run out of food and although we had to return our last bag due to change in formula both companies treated us very well in handling it for us. So pleased with the ease of ordering, getting items on subscription and how it's handled when we need to make a change. This food was great for one of our dogs and the other did fairly well but with her allergies we needed to try a new protein. So glad this company is geared to offering special diets.

Love the original version small breed lamb and rice. It holds together well when moistened and my mini schnauzers both eat it. My boy has poultry and salmon allergies and this is one of the few commercial kibbles I can give him. The ‘new improved’ version of this food is terrible. It dissolves into a mucky mess of paste and granules in about 10 minutes if I add water. Since my dogs graze all day instead of eating at one sittilng they won’t eat it and I end up tossing a big glob of paste twice a day. I have to add water or they won’t touch it at all. For days. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I can’t get the original recipie any more.

My boys love this food and my older dog is running around again, he's not having hip trouble anymore! The vet recommended it for his upset tummy and skin rash which also went away!!! Amazing what horrible things grains do to dogs, almost crippling. Like night and day after we switched! No more gluten, grains, or fillers for my boys!

my dog gets skin issues here & there but I think its actually a flea bite here & there. He's treated with revolution & I treat the yard seasonally but i think he gets a bite here & there. Ive heard putting their paws in a 50/50 water/ACV & then they lick them helps w/skin issues, repells fleas and has a ton of other benefits. Also look up beer cure for heartworms just for FYI. I use revolution so my dog is protected but its helpful to know STUFF...

From the day I began to give this food to my dog, she began to have digestive problems. I had transferred the food to a sealed plastic container so do not have the lot number.After 5 days Of problems, we gave her food for 2 days to settle her stomach and she has been fine since. I then bought a new bag at my local pet store and gave this food to her and she has been fine. Unhappily, I will take this new food back because “the use before date” was in the recent past. I now know to be much more careful and will not order online from Amazon for her food and will be wary in stores as well.

I tried to others that didn't sit well with my puppy. We add this to her raw food diet to fill in any gaps, slow her eating down and give her the extra calories and nutrients she needs. Happy with the product and we still buy this kind.

Expensive.. but good for my Dalmatian pup. I order this food regularly.

Well I personally didn't try it, but my dog liked it for the first half, the second half I had to toss she would not eat.

Bought for Jack Russell. She loved it and I found her fur was nicer and softer.

My dog didn't like this much... But then again, he's a dog, he will have to eat whatever I give him.
