Refill canisters
Refill canistersIf you have 1 pound canisters this device works really good to refill them but remember you have to tip the propane tank over in order for the propane to flow into the canister and it takes a little bit but it is well worth it good item

THIS regulator valve is a great quality product
THIS regulator valve is a great quality product, at a great price! Plus, it saved us many times over on our first use. We had previously been buying the small 16oz bottles of Propane for my porch heater/firepit at $3.99 Each. My Hubs filled 17 empty 16oz bottles off of One of our big Propane bottles that we'd been using for our big grill, so it wasn't even close to being full when he used it. As long as you're careful when filling AND don't overfill, this valve is more than worth it's weight... IF the need ever arises, will definitely buy this again!

Not Impressed
I tried the freezer trick, freezing 1lb bottles overnight and filling with a 'full' 20lb propane turned upside down. Poor results, 15--30 minutes to get a 1/2 full! Tried releasing the valve on 1lb tanks as it filled from a bigger tank. That worked better, but no by much. I bought a different fill valve with no hose and shut off valve that screws unto a 20lb tank (LHT). These work so much better and faster than this product!

Reuse the tanks
Throw away the instructions, do not put in the freezer. Buy a shreader valve remover, make the opening wider on the tool, then slowly open the valve to release the gas as you fill the tank. When the propane starts coming out close the valve and you are done, and have a full tank. This will take about 2 min, compared to 30 min by freezing.

Safer Way
Much easier and safer way to fill one pounders.

Just as described! Works well with refilling my 1lb ...
Just as described! Works well with refilling my 1lb cylinders for my hunting buddy heater. I read a lot of reviews of how it don’t fill up the 1lb bottles all the way, justbwatch videosbit will tell you. Place your 1lb bottles in the freezer for a few hours then fill them up. Get more propane that way.

Won't fully fill your cylinders
It certainly works. The laws of physics prevent one from fully filling the cylinders. The more drained the large tank, the less full the small cylinders. For me, the effort to refill was stymied by leaking cylinders. They sat for a few months before I refilled them. Half of them leaked after refill. There's no way to tell until you've regular each one.The last few tanks I filled only lasted minutes in use. Regardless, refilling this way didn't prove to be cost effective enough for me to continue to do it. The hassle of changing out cylinders made the exercise not worth it.
