I love this simple style and simple to used
I love this simple style and simple to used, stainless still look good also. Lighting are really bright, and two big fans did a great job, with 3 setting, light, medium and strong, noise lever is food not too loud, no more smelling in the house after cooking Chinese food.

Defective
I love the look of this hood, BUT.. I had it installed today and it is defective. My electrician said it was likely the motor. I will now have to have it uninstalled and a new one installed. I am waiting to hear back from the seller regarding my electrician's fee for the new install 😩.

Great hood for the price!
Love this hood.It was challenging to find a cost effective hood with enough CFMs for the BTU's that come off the range we had purchased-GE Cafe 30" 6 burner slide in. Which is something they should mention when you are buying your stove. We had a whole home renovation done and in order to pass the inspection this was important, as they test it.It works really well. I cook a lot and it works great, no food smell throughout the house at all. I love the simple design. The protective stickers are a pain to remove but not a deal breaker.

Generally happy but concerned
We have been pretty happy with the hood overall but there is one issue that makes us concerned in the immediate as well as how it bodes for the future. The knob for the fan regularly falls off. After turning it on or off, the knob frequently plummets to the stove top - into the pot, bouncing off the range - you never know. Its been doing this from the beginning but seems to be getting worse. At some point the knob will be broken or lost. I'm concerned what else may go wrong if something so simple as a knob doesn't work properly. A malfunctioning range hood can be dangerous! If there is a fix or someone to get in touch with, I'd love to find a solution. In the meantime, I'm really not sure I can recommend this product.

Wow, will take the hat off of your head!,
By far the best range hood for the money. Very PRO style with an excellent fan and easy to remove and clean baffles. Can be used for vertical,or horizontal vents. My wife is Thai and regularly use a wok and LOtS of chili’s but when this thing is running, we can still sit in the kitchen. Not too loud and great halogen lights. Can’t go wrong.

Love it!
Great looking hood, as described, noise was a huge deciding factor in my purchase and I'm happy with my decision here. Sucks adequately on low and really nicely on high. Sticky protection film on stainless was a pain to get off. Overall very pleased. LED lights would have been nice, will probably replace soon.

Knobs are ugly and provide poor control
Both light and fan use a 4 position turning knob. The light goes Off, 1 (dim), 2 (bright), Off (again). The fan has Off and 3 settings, all of which are extremely loud and don’t move appreciably more air. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this fan.

Really nice hood, but you may need to be a handyman...
Love it. Replaced a basic model with this unit. We chose it because of the other reviews that said it was quiet. And it is! The unit has two large (12" diameter") turbines with maybe 16 blades each. Three speeds and even on the lower speed it moves a lot of air and captures most the steam/smell from cooking. Medium speed moves even more air and is a notch louder, but not "loud", you can still easily have a conversation at normal volumes with someone. On high, think Big Bad Wolf volumes, you better open a door or window (OK, not quite), and has a definite "whooshing" noise (still able to converse without even raising our voices!), but no way I would call it a "jet engine" like many others described their hoods from other brands. We like the hidden control knobs, for a clean look, and easier cleaning. Did I say we love it?Ok, now the bad. It came with a medium dent in the stainless hood on the side, just barely not visible when installed, but the denting (or something) broke loose maybe 8 of the 16 tiny aluminum pop rivets that holds the hood to the top plate that has the fans. Both the stainless hood and the motors are pretty heavy, it was hard to see how it could safely be mounted to the underside of a cabinet with just four screws in the thin top mounting plate as described in the instructions. I ended replacing the broken pop rivets with some small stainless nuts and bolts, and buying some metal wall shelf brackets and mounting them upside down on the inside of the cabinet, attaching them to the studs and then drilling through the bottom of the cabinet to secure the brackets to the mounting plate and stainless hood shell with some longer stainless bolts. A bit of work, but the final installation is very solid. The electrical connection was not up to par IMO, no real "electrical" box included, and the wires extended through a sharp edged hole in the top. I added a cushion around the wires. I did call the company and complained about things and their only response was "return it to Amazon", but we did like the look of it and didn't want to wait and it had better reviews than other units. I'm glad I kept it despite the issues.Oh, and one of the halogen bulbs burned out after 2 months. Right?Another weird thing, this unit has two mongo fans and just a stainless baffle for grease control, so it does get greasy, not sure if the fans will gunk up someday, the blades don't seem to be removable (I tried). In contrast, our old "basic" model had "filter panel" with a wire mesh, fine mesh and finally a thick green poly pad, no wonder it didn't move any air with its wimpy fan and thick grease filter pad.I'm giving it 4 stars overall, but after getting past the defects and installation, its the real deal.
