I wanted something to keep bedside during the night or days I'm bedbound. These are a good size as they hold approx 1.5 litres, meaning less trips to fill themand easy to hold. The bottle opening is wide enough so you can fill with ice. I like the screw tops as I have a cat and if she knocked them over they won't spill. For the price they are good. Difficult to clean as the opening is too narrow to fit hand inside. Would also be good to use in the garden (when we get the weather). Overall I am happy with these bottles. Update - my mother visited and she saw these carafes and decided they were very practical and them for using in the garden.
