Lots of fun, great learning experience. Worth the $
I purchased this for my teenage daughter, being bored at home with the pandemic I have been looking for ways to keep the kids intrigued ..We have grown 3 crystals so far (see photo) they came out so pretty!! We are excited to do the others.Couple of learning moments - the mixture stains everything, so be careful with it. Ours took about 6 days to grow, and we probably could have let it go longer. if you lose any of the small fragments in the solution, they will also spawn crystals off on the corners or wherever they end up.So A good pair of rubber tongs to gently but firmly place that piece of glass is recommended.The typical plastic tongs can't hold it well while trying to place it on the small stand in the container. We will soon be pros!!Also came beautifully boxed so would’ve made a great Christmas gift..totally worth the money!

Purchased as a Christmas gift for a 6 year old because it looked cute. The description says for ages 6 …but when received, the box says 8 and up. Had to return for safety reasons.
