Easy to understand language used throughout.

I already have an existing solar system on my property but with energy prices out of control I wanted to explore the option of adding more solar panels and battery storage and maybe even consider doing some of this work myself with the guidance of an electrician friend. The book explains in very simple terms about the different types of installation, how power is produced and how to choose the right installation for your needs. The idea of being more energy self sufficient really appeals to me and this book has given me to confidence the explore this in more detail, demystifying the whole subject so I feel I have a greater understanding of everything. Highly recommended

The book demistifys the whole solar pv installation and theory. Had some previous electrical experience but this book is a good refresher into the background of Solar Pv . A good read and not too technical and suitable for a DIY

Found this book very knowledgeable and assumes you have no knowledge of the topic which is exactly what it says which is unlike most others. Would highly recommend.

This book was just what was required. It assumes no previous knowledge, which is great for beginners, and it has enough technical detail to follow you through to the end of a successful project. It is easy to follow and understand, and is exactly what you need to get your own solar system up and running, from the initial planning, right through to grid and battery connection.Highly recommend.

I bought this because we're starting a smallholding and need to be off-grid. I wanted the basic, need-to-know so that I could make sure the system I bought would meet our needs. Within the first few pages I knew I wouldn't get that from this book. It introduces you to such joys as Kirchhoff's Law, complete with equations, and Voc Temperature Coefficients. If you are of a technical bent and want to build all the components from scratch, then maybe you'll get on with this book. A double-first in maths and physics would have been useful but I only have a PhD in Psychology so found this impossible to get on with, and the early introduction of all the equations was really off-putting.Save your money and have a look at some videos on Youtube instead.

Gift for a friend!

Something went wrong in the print process so that the book was largely unreadable for me. The pages were printed for a larger format book. 0 stars for the quality control of the printers. From what I could make out the book was well laid out with lots of charts and understandable language.I sent it back for a refund.
