Used 2 sets of these straps to tie down 2 harley baggers in a trailer. The retractable straps are much nicer and easier to use than the traditional straps. They held up very well. Before heading out I would rock the bikes side to side, re-tighten and never had to re-tighten even on a 500 mile road trip.

This is the second set I've bought after getting some for my brother for Xmas last year and he's raved about them. I also got a set of soft loops via redemption so I'm all set. I'm not sure if they sell a canvas storage bag for the straps but that's definitely something I'd consider buying too.The thing I like best is that it retracts before you start ratcheting the strap, so your hooks won't hang loose and drop off whatever they're being connected with like traditional straps.
