We got this to keep our Saluspa Hawaii inflatable hot tub clean. It's probably the easiest chem setup I've ever used. The water was sparkling clean and all I did was add the start up packet to establish a chlorine level, then snap the cartridges into the floating frog. Adjust the cartridges to the lowest setting and let it run.

Product works perfectly, just FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS.the adjustment on the bromine cartridge is easy to use, but I do have to use a higher setting than anticipated. Using a higher setting isn't a big deal because the product will still last as long as advertised.Amazing product.

So - I am not exactly sure what went wrong.. I used the starter kit and followed all directions to the T. It was a brand new setup for the jacuzzi, so it hadnt been established yet or anything. My partner has sensitive skin and hates chemicals - so I decided to go with this after reading reviews.. I have had a jacuzzi in the past, but always just used the harsh stuff. So I cycled the water for a few days with these chemicals in it before anyone used the spa - I just followed all of the directions the manual said. I used the shock startup from the kit, then tweaked the water over several days with PH up and down and calcium. The test strips seemed very accurate.. i mean theyd say I was low on something - I'd apply more minerals and it got the water into normal range within a couple days with the pump on, cycling chemicals through.. I am not sure if my partner is like EXTRA filthy or something? but after a month, the water got funky.. even with the frog buddy in there. My partner only used the jacuzzi a dozen times, so I cant imagine he was that filthy, even if I were to blame that.. and it's winter here in Seattle, so it isnt like we are sweating up a storm.. but after 6 weeks - he hadnt used the jacuzzi in about a week and he went to take a dip - he pulled off the top and the water was noticeably funky. Funky enough for him to totally want nothing to do with it ever again. So we ended up draining the spa to "start over". so I am not sure if it was because we are first timers with this product or if my partner got in without taking showers first? although i cant see why that would make the water that filthy so fast.. but i know I had gotten all of the numbers into the normal range by the end of the first week and once it was balanced - i stuck the frog in with the maintenance minerals and hadnt been checking it for a couple weeks after i got it all balanced. Maybe it was something we did? but i dont think it should have happened after only using the spa a dozen times total.. Those are expensive chemicals for having that happen.

I purchase this for my hot tub because I just couldn’t figure out what I needed. With all the different products to choose from it made it difficult to make the right choice. This kit has everything you need to get started and to maintain crystal clear water in your pool or hot tub.

This is an okay starter pack. I'm just confused as to why when you order bromine kit it only comes with chlorine starter. I paid more for bromine because I wanted a chlorine free tub.The float seems to last a while its been two months already and the cartridges are still not empty.Getting your hot tub started can be difficult but this kit makes it easy.

We purchased this product a few weeks ago and it has made our hot tub unusable. We followed the direction exactly when installing the product, and waited a few days to use. Tried using test strips (by the way picture says it comes with 50 test strips and it only came with 10), and they all say that no chemicals are being dispersed. We got into our hot tub and there was a foul smell and our skin started burning.I contacted Frog Customer service the next day and they stated that this product may not have been sold by one of their licensed distributers, and then promised to assist with the issue. They said they needed to check some things and they would call me back immediately. That was two weeks ago. I have called about 5 or 6 times, left voicemails, sent emails, and they have not returned anything. They are basically ignoring us now.This product is frankly dangerous and a waste of money. I do not recommend.
