It looks like it is built solid. i mean what can hurt metal. After 6 months with some light exposure to salt water and no trauma, it does not point north. it did not cost a lot, just disappointed because it was recommended and looks like it is built like a tank. 5 * be/c of complete refund after.

Not was I thought I was getting but for 15ish dollars Its ok. This is a not a liquid filled compass

I bought this for my 9 year old...not a bad looking compass but It is heavy! So I went with little lightweight compass!

Feels decently made. Points North. That’s what matters.

For the money this is a fair compass. The bezel is used for applying declination, and the eyepiece sighting is unique. My biggest complaint is that the peep sights are at bezel level and really can’t be of use in sighting. There is room to heighten these sights and that would make this lensatic compass more usable. Does have some interesting stadia features I haven’t seen in other lensatic compasses.

My husband is a Army vet. He selected this compass for our Boy scout grandson.
