After use clean the metal surface with mineral spirits--- apply finishing paste wax (Minwax, or the like) and allow to dry---wipe down with clean cotton or microfiber cloth. (Same method as used on any/all metal and carbon steel saws). The finishing paste wax also lubricates the metal and makes for decreased resistance when cutting. DO NOT USE wax that contains silicone---like car wax on woodworking tools.
