Absolute bargain compared to Kwikset and Schlage!!!
This Coolous smart lock is an absolute bargain compared to offerings by more established lock makers like Kwikset and Schlage! I've been a faithful Schlage user for the past decade and can gladly call myself a convert to this lock. Don't get me wrong--the Schlage Sense is an extremely well-made lock, but at $200 per pop, it's getting increasingly hard to justify the price when better alternatives like thie Coolous lock are out there. Not only is this lock much cheaper than mainstream alternatives such as the Schlage Sense or NestxYale : 1) the Tuya app is light years ahead of Schlage's; 2) the fingerprint reader is super convenient for when you're holding a lot of items; 3) physical key provides huge peace of mind for when the battery inevitably dies. The Schlage has a physical key, but most alternatives from Kwikset or Yale often don't.The lock itself was incredibly easy to install (10-15 minutes), and I've had no issues with battery life thus far (though I admittedly use Energerizer Lithium AA batteries). To those having issues with battery life--make sure your lock is aligned properly. If the bolt is constantly grinding away against the strike plate, you'll inevitably chew through your batteries and possibly the motor. This is a common issue for smart lock novices. Furthermore, checking to make sure your phone's bluetooth isn't constantly paired with the lock also helps to further stretch out battery life, though you'll obviously need to be paired if you want to use the app

Battery dead in one day DON'T WASTE YOU TIME OR MONEY
This lock was fairly easy to install (about 30 minutes). Though, when all screws were tightened it restricted the bolt making it difficult for it to open and close, though it would. After less than 24 hours, the batteries are already dead. There is a c-port usb but nothing in the manual or app said anything about charging before installation. If this, in fact, only runs on AA batteries, with wifi connectivity, the batteries will need frequent replacement. I'm going to give it a few days but am not overly optimistic. The whole point was to eliminate the need for a key but I'm not confident we won't need a physical key frequently.Update day 3I replaced the batteries on day 2 and again they are dead within 1 day. When the door is unlocking (when it's working) it makes a series of mechanical sounds and then says "lock open." Then it continues to make more mechanical sounds and unlocks itself without putting a fingerprint or code in. I was thankful I heard it say unlocked before leaving the house.Sadly, I do not believe that this product was not made well enough to use. 4 AA batteries are not enough to support the functions that it is equipped with. It says in the manual and on Amazon to contact the company with any issues. However, there is no number or webpage to go to for help.I will be initiating a return through Amazon. What a pain to have to uninstall and reinstall the old lock. Don't waste your time or money.

Great buy but...
I genuinely love this product. The only thing I'm not a fan of is that if I'm not near it or using the same wifi, it doesn't let me pull it up on my phone. I can't create a temporary code for someone while I'm not home. But it's great otherwise. I love the finger print feature.

Wow if I could give them no stars I would
Wow I can’t believe this. Sadly gave them my money. Thinking it would be amazing. Sadly don’t spend your money. The locks don’t come out with out the key. It jams all the time leaving the door unlocked. I can with 100 % honesty. Just a big waste of money. I should of read the reviews before I bought it
