MEECO'S RED DEVIL 12 Creosote Destroyer, Liquid

Didn't seem to do much

Have always used it ever since I had chimney fire years ago. Absolutely works. At the end of each winter I bush out the chimney and the stove pipe. the only thing in there is creosote powder. I use a bit more than required on label just to be safe.

We live in Pennsylvania and burn our woodstove roughly 6 months of the year. Prior to using creosote remover, I had problems with creosote build-up in my chimney, usually by around February. I took two corrective actions: 1. cut, split and stack firewood in early spring so it can cure all summer and autumn and 2. use 4 squirts of creosote destroyer every time I add wood to the firebox (Jotul-Firelight). Both of these corrective actions have solved my creosote build-up problems that occur in mid-season. This does not take the place of a good brushing that I do every September, prior to a new burning season, but it makes everything a lot better. Competitive brands work just as well, but I always use the spray. It's the most cost effective. I seem to only need two bottles per six months of burning. I hope this was helpful.

Only gave it three stars because I dont know if it works yet? Definately promotes more complete burn of wood in the firebox. Nothing to the but fine ash left.
