Great value! Good stuff!
This stuff is great, and my pothos absolutely love it. I had them in Miracle-Gro potting soil and it just wasn't working out. I hadn't seen growth in a long time. Within a week or so of trading out the potting soil with this stuff, I had new growth! I couldn't believe it. This stuff is exactly as described and so easy to use. Just place it in water and the brick expands within a few minutes. You can then just break it apart with your fingers, fluff it up, and you are ready to go! It makes a lot! I saved the extra in a gallon ziploc bag. Great value for the money. I will definitely buy again.

Great growing medium! Super happy!
Love this potting medium! I use to use the chunkier coconut coir for my iguana when I was a teen, so I knew what it was but had no idea it was such a great potting medium. It puffs up pretty quick, within an hour it was huge and ready to use. I'm going to buy more as it's even great for succulents (often mixed with something coarse like perlite) and I have three that need to be rehomed. Worked wonders for the dying Pothos my sister needed me to rescue for her, it's perked up and is growing tons of new shoots. Just don't overwater. This stuff isn't soil, you obviously have to adjust your watering habits otherwise you will get mold.

Great product
I bought this when it came time to move my bougainvillea inside for winter, as it was too heavy for me to get it up the 1 step to get it in & hadn't been replanted in a couple years, so I thought I could reduce the weight by mixing this with new soil & worked like a charm! LOL, but I could still barely get it up & in as it's grown tremendously, so this may be the LAST summer it goes out until I move! Was EASY to use, threw it in warm water & added a plastic coffee container full of water on top to keep it submerged, which I ended up adding to the other & in no time was ready to use! Highly recommend this!!

I Never Knew
If you're like me, you are new to coir. I bought this because it was as small amount as I could find which equals less money spent but maybe not the most value for your money. For a first try I think this is a good choice. The brick is solid. Mine came with 4 layers that had separated a little in one corner which is good. I broke off some and put it in room temp water, let it sit, fluffed with a fork and it made enough soil for four 4in pots. no joke. For the money it's worth a try. I was thinking about additions... sand, vermiculite, potting soil. Maybe mix in some long lastiing fertiizer or worm castings etc... Long story short, if you want to try coconut coir, this is a good value. It will make more soil than you think. Me? i'm still learning. Having been using this for a couple of months I say You have to water more and you have to give it all it's food in that water. I have old General Hydroponics powder nutrients that I dried in a microwave like I was making (what I imagine) crack. I use a pinch in a quart of filtered water. And it all happens.

Perfect "soil"
I use this as a base for my potting soil mix and my plants seem to like it. The small brick expands to make A LOT of coir, great value!

My worms like it
I'm using this in my worm bin since my red wigglers go through newspaper so slowly. I notice that the worms try to escape less with this coco coir as their main bedding. I also used a mixture of coco coir (rinsed) and vermiculite to start some pinguicula (butterwort) leaf pullings without any issue. Everything stayed nice and moist even in my low humidity home. However, once they get bigger, will transfer the butterworts to a spaghnum moss/vermiculite mix. Coco coir in general is dense, so I'm a little worried for their little roots. All in all, this was an excellent clean product and easy to rehydrate. I liked it enough to buy the three pack.

awesome soil amendment - not a potting soil
I love Coco Coir - it is so much better than peat. But you can not use it alone - at the least it should be mixed with 50% perlite and added nutrients. I use earthworm poop and bat poop is good too (aka Worm Castings Organic Fertilizer, Wiggle Worm Soil Builder and/or Dr. Earth 726 Premium Organic and Natural Bat Guano). Charlie's Compost is also excellent to mix in your coir. I also pick up a cheap bag of potting soil, three dollar bag at dollar general, and mix it. I make a plastics tub full of my soil mix und use it all year as needed. This soil mix will grow anything twice as big!

Holds moisture!
May chili pepper seedlings are very happy! This coir is economical and explodes into a large volume by soaking it in water ahead of time as the instructions say. I used it 50/50 with potting soil to start some pepper seeds. The soil stays moist but not soggy which is so important for seeds. They need constant moisture without drowning them. Every seed sprouted and is sturdy. I live in the hot desert so it's tricky to keep even moisture for the seeds, but the coir makes it easier. And it absorbs the water quickly unlike some soil amendments that repel water.
