I looked at several of the diggers and decided on this one. Boy, did Grandma ever come through on the 3-year-old birthday surprise! When I first saw the seat, I thought this might be to small for a very tall 3-year-old (looks like he's 4 or 5), but I was wrong. This is very sturdy and easy to swivel. The quality is impressive. We did loosen a few screws to make the levers a little bit easier to move, but all is well. My grandson loves it and the neighbor girls want to use it as well.

This was purchased for my sons birthday. He is 5 and uses it in his sand box. He has friends and cousins who are older (7 or so) and they also enjoy playing with it. It’s easy for them to use and, so far, no punches fingers or tipping over the unit, and my son is rough on it. It has so far held up to the rain and shows no signs of fading.

This one was better made than most I've seen , which is probably why it cost a little more. That being said I would have paid more for an even heavier built one. That is why only 4 stars.

I bought this for my 3 going on 4 year old son and he LOVES it! It was pretty easy to assembly and it’s extremely sturdy!

Smaller than expected, but works.

Gave this to my 3 year old grandson for his birthday - he was thrilled. Between him and his two other brothers, it gets played with constantly. I like the fact that it seems extremely well built.

Seems very well made- follow directions when putting together!! 5 year old has enjoyed picking up "popcorn" from xmas boxes and scooping snow. If it ever gets warm (January in Illinois) and the sand unfreezes we will see how sand and dirt does. Glad I went with this product, seems much better built than less expensive ones. Happy Grandma.

Very sturdy and exactly as pictured. My son LOVES this thing! He'd spend all day in the sandbox if I let him. The levers are easy for him to operate and the seat turns with ease. My son is a smaller 4 year old (32lbs.) for age/ability reference. I would highly recommend this digger.
