Another good one
I love time-slip novels and Kathleen McGurl, in my opinion, is one of the, if not the best, authors of this genre.I’ve devoured all of Kathleen McGurls books m including The Girl from Bletchingly Park, and can’t wait to tuck into the next one…❤️📚.

Difficult to put down.
Having had a husband who was very interested in WW2 and visited there, once with our WW2 Jeep when Bletchley was being renovated and again when it became a Museum , I found this book extremely interesting. Obviously a great deal of good research went into writing this book. Splitting the two different periods made it exciting, and very difficult to put down. Although a fictitious story, the author made it come alive. I could not wait to open the pages and read the next instalment. I will certainly read other books written by Kathleen McGurl. Thank you for such an interesting read.

Not just Another time-slip novel!
The Girl from Bletchley Park by Kathleen McGurl is a time-slip novel is set in both the 1940s and the present. The story of Grandmother Pam, having just left school in 1942 gives up a hard won place at Oxford University to help the war effort as a codebreaker at Bletchley Park is paralleled with Gran-daughter Julia, mother of two, juggling a fulltime career in the computing world with raising two boys and managing a husband who is clearly hard work. This is an incredibly gripping tale of betrayal, bravery and tragedy while is inspiring to our generation of working mothers.Kathleen McGurks keeps the suspense going like a pro although the book holding the reader’s attention right to the last page. The events experienced by Julia’s Grandmother led her to look inward and question the choices she has made in her own life.If you enjoy reading about strong women – this is a drama you must read. Once opened I couldn’t put it down. Thanks to HQ Digital and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book.

Well researched and a good read
I am a volunteer at The National Museum of Computing, on Bletchley Park, so I know the detailed history of Colossus etc. There are a couple of small errors and omissions, but overall it was much better researched and more historically accurate than the usual Bletchley stories (e.g. The Imitation Game etc.). Also, the story lines were good, with 3-dimensional characters that you cared what happened to. Recommended.

The Girl from Bletchley Park
On reading this Book from the start .It takes the here and nowBut then mentioning about this Girl Julia's Grandmother during theWar years in Bletchley Park. But on going from chapter to chapterBackwards and forwards .of each of there lives well it was differentBut having to get a story line of both these girls. It was different and enjoyed it. But every other chapter going back toJulia's life then Pamela's life. During the war years I.It was like two different lives going on. Both as dramatic as each otherBut a good book . Both had dramatic circumstances going onThrough there lives but ended well. Good readI give this four stars as it was switching each chapter to differentLives . Of her grandmother .Well put together . But hard keeping aTab on them .with moving from present to back in war years. But very enjoyable good read thank you.

Wonderful!
I loved this time slip book from start to finish, in fact I love anything to do with the code breakers. I visited Bletchley Park earlier this year so could picture the scenes depicted in the story and if you read this you’ll want to visit too. A lovely gentle story about life in the war years, laced with drama, and the role the code breakers played. Running alongside this is a modern day story, equally enjoyable, about the granddaughter of the girl from Bletchley Park, whose looks into her grandmother’s fascinating past but also has a dramatic story of her own to tell. Definitely my kind of read.
