Really nice coat.
Excellent coat. It fits perfect everywhere but the length. I purchased an x-large and I'm 5'9" and it comes down to my lower ankle. I would have preferred it about 3 or 4 inches shorter. Other than that, I can't find anything negative about it. The sleeves are perfect, the leather is really nice, and it seems to be made very well. It's a really nice coat that I believe was worth the money.

Photo accurate, gorgeous quality, damn fine jacket!
Starting with the good, I bought this coat as my 2nd attempt to purchase a similar garment. The first time I tried a different seller who misrepresented their product and sent me a different trench coat that looked nothing like the one in their photo. Thankfully, that is not the case with South Beach Leather. The coat is thick, genuine leather, absurdly heavy and very warm. Nice quality garment. It looks exactly like the coat in the pictures. On the negative, South Beach Leather claims to be based in New York, but their products ship from Karachi, Pakistan. I don't really mind, but this does mean shipping takes a while and I find it weird that they feel the need to lie about where they are based. Still, the product arrived, was accurate, and had quality material and craftsmanship. There were a couple of minor scuffs in the leather, but for the price I paid I'm not really complaining. The buttons are the only real downside: though they are brass and are cosmetically appropriate, they are rather thin and flimsy feeling. They are also somewhat loosely attached and I'm certain at least one will fall off soon. All of these collectively prevented me from giving an honest 5 stars but don't let that fool you; this is still a great coat. You just might need spend a little time, energy and money upgrading it fully. One important note: this is a full length trench coat. I am about 5'10" and I purchased a medium. It's a little less fitting than I would have hoped (I weigh 175 lbs or so) but it is comfortable and is obviously designed to be worn over 2 other layers so that's not a huge issue. It hangs down to my ankles though, so far that I am slightly worried about it scraping the ground and getting damaged or dirty. I am considering having it tailored to hang around mid-calf length instead, not sure what I'd have to pay for that service though.Overall, if you like what you see, buy the jacket! You'll get something nice at a reasonable asking price and the few issues are fixable if you're willing to spend a little extra aftermarket.

Great coat !!!
Great leather but very bad stitching in regards to both the detachable collar retaining buttons and the main buttons themselves. Needless to thats not been impressive however the customer service in regards to a solution to that problem was excellant and expedited with speed!!

Excellent quality coat, but something I advise...
Okay, as per the leather, itself; when they advertise it as "cowhide leather", they are actually dead serious. The leather quality, I would currently say, is Top Notch. But what is NOT EVEN CLOSE, in my opinion, is the buttons and the thread used to attach them; the buttons feel both cheap and almost dangerously sharp (I nearly cut myself on them, just unbuttoning the coat, before I even put it on. If they're not plastic, they must be pewter (and I do NOT advise using either one for a coat like this. You're insulting the very design of the coat you're making.). I greatly advise something at least close to the original metal(s)).Now, the thread used to attach the buttons... Breaks way too easy, even for a new coat/"unbroken".Mind you, I spent about a month, thinking mine was stuck in transit, right out of the manufacture area. It just arrived, earlier, today.I've already had to precondition it, just so I can break it in correctly (which I highly advise for anyone else who buys this thing), and I'm already having to fix the terrible work on the buttons. The button holes also came unfinished, so I've already had to fix That. But overall, I can definitely say that, though it was shy of complete, it is an excellent quality piece of work (just don't use the pewter or plastic buttoning or cheap thread). Something like this is just too good for that. And as for the sizing, people need to remember that these things WERE originally designed for soldiers who were essentially insanely fit. So, keep that in mind, when you order one of these.

Absolutely Beautiful but for a 3x it is more like a XL-2XL...
This coat is even better looking than any photo can give it justice. Even though overall too small, the length is spot on. So if you are an XL to 2 Xl the coat is for YOU!Yeah Guys, you will definitely be getting some looks stepping out wearing this, so make sure you dress the part to do this coat justice! The button holes are tight but to be expected with a new garment especially one of this quality. It is heavy as well. Kind of like an old khaki canvas firemans coat but not quite. The fur on the collar detaches but the liner does not. It breaks my heart having to send this back. UPDATE!!! I dropped the lbs-kg, ordered another and it fits WELL!

Great looking coat, runs a small
My friend usually wears a 2xl but is barrel chested with large arms so I went up a size to 3xl and it was still a little bit too small. After wearing it for a while it did relax some. Perfect length for over 6 ft people, arm length is on point.
