Tattle Tale Sonic Pet Training Alarm - Pack of 2

These seem to be working great for keeping our cat off of the car. Even though our cat has a tall perch in the garage to look out, our cat liked to roam on our cars. Sometimes even left barf behind. Not cool. With the purchase of a new car that shows the prints, we needed a solution to terminate the trespassing without terminating the cat :-) This device has worked well so far. This device is physical-movement sensitive. When I bought the alarm, I placed it on the hood and tapped the hood. It alarmed immediately. This is the the very type of action that the cat would take jumping on the hood. If a very noisy large truck goes by outside that causes vibrations, it can go off. But that seems to be very rare. All I know is that since I put the thing on the car hood, no more kitty paw prints. As the winter weather comes there may be more temptation to try the hood again, but I think the irritating sound will help kitty reprogram her decision to roam about on top of the car. And I bought two alarms, so as winter comes, if the behaviour has not been extinguished with warm hoods on colder nights, we will bring out the second alarm for our other car. Hopefully kitty is a fast learner. I put a piece of soft shelf liner under the alarm to avoid scratching when we put it on the hood and take it off. Has worked wonderfully. Now one thing the alarm will NOT do is take itself off of the hood. A few days after getting it, I drove out of the garage and up the street. It suddenly dawned on me that I had not taken it off before leaving...I had heard this weird sound in my new car and realized it was not the electric motor, but instead the alarm on my hood. I am sure people wondered about me when I was driving down the road with the alarm blazing on each bump. I sheepishly got out of my car at a store parking lot and put the thing inside my car after turning it off. Lesson learned.

We have two dogs. A big stinky golden retriever, and a smallish german short hair pointer. They both love to go play outside and roll around in the mud. They also are snugglebugs, and my wife and I are softies. We bought a new home. Wife wanted an off-white cloth sofa. I told wife that was a terrible, terrible idea, our dogs will get on the sofa. We bought sofa anyways. Dogs got on sofa. Sofa turned brownish. I bought a 2-pack of these bad boys. Come with the battery already in the device, just need to attach it with the connector. I'm not sure I've ever even seen the dogs get rejected by the alarm yet, they just.. don't get on the sofa anymore. In my opinion this is a vastly more elegant and reasonable solution than some of the shock pads and stuff out there. These things are very sensitive to motion; my 200 pound footsteps stomping by on my way into the kitchen can frequently set it off. This is moderately irritating. I usually just turn the ringers off if we are home. However getting rid of this thing literally just means flicking a switch and stuffing it between the sofa cushions. Really couldn't be easier. Strongly recommend as the go-to solution for getting your pets off your beds and sofas. The noise is awful and they are a little over-sensitive, but way less of an eye sore than a giant plastic mat that SHOCKS stuff.

Brat cat loves to jump on the table, kitchen counters, you name it. This little device emits a high pitched screech that changes her mind. The only problem is it's exceedingly sensitive and goes off with the slightest activity (i.e. low flying airplane). She no longer hops atop my desk and that alone, is worth it!

The items are useless. I plugged them in, turned them on high, and placed them around 18 inches from furniture. The dog has walked right in front of the machines all day and wet three times around 4 inches in front of the machines. While cleaning one of the urine spots I walked right in front of the machine and the item did not go off. I then got on my hands and knees to clean the urine and was right in front of the machine and it still did not go off. I stood in front of all of them and none of them went off. They did not go off until I physically picked them up.

I have used this product for years with other dogs and cats and when I succumbed to the urge to have a pal during this Covid pandemic, I immediately ordered two of Tattle Tale vibrating trainers. You can put them anywhere from a table top or counter to chairs, beds, anything you want to keep your dog or cat off of. I have had success with this product for dogs and cats and the sound can be highly irritating (sort of the point, right?) So, the animals don’t like it. FYI - you will need to take time at first to say”no” (or whatever negative word you use with your pet) every time the Tattle Tale emits the sound when your pet tries to get up on the item you wish to keep them off of. After a few days, most pets get the message and then if they decide to try it again, the sound alone will make them hop right down. I highly recommend this product!!!

I was struggling to keep my two cats off of one specific chair and my dining room table. Immediately after setting these up, they stayed away. I was really looking forward to catching one or both in the act with the alarm, but that never even happened. Now I don't even turn them on any more, and the cats still stay off. I was a bit weary of the price tag, but thankfully, this product delivers on what it is supposed to. I will say that the vibration detection is so sensitive on the high setting that it was difficult to walk normally past this device without setting off the alarm. The low setting worked best for me. I realize all cats (and pets) are different, but these really got the job done for me.

We were very hopeful that these would work. I guess it's really our fault for letting the dog on the couch to begin with. These do what they say, but if your pet isn't too easily startled, they probably won't help your situation. Maybe if you use them from day one, they would be more affective. We've been using them for a while, along with correcting her,, and as you can see in the pictures, they aren't deterring our dog.

My guy is a furry bundle of fur fur fur. He sheds ten times what a regular cat does, I swear. And he likes to nap on my bed. I was going through a jumbo roll of packing tape every 2 months just to try to remove his hair from my bed. I tried vinegar sprays, aluminum foil, and begging him... These thing scares him just enough to annoy him off the bed. I keep one on the exposed side and one at the foot and I have to place them well or he seems smart enough to figure out the blind spot... yeah, one day I came home and he was napping comfortable between them. Heh. But now that I put them on the edge, he mostly stays off. Also, he doesn't know if I forgot to turn them on. Hooray for Pavlovian training! But wow, they're sensitive sometimes. If I drop something nearby or bump the nearby floor with the vacuum, they can go off. But, I have to say the nightly ritual of turning them off and moving them aside is a lot better than spending 10 minutes trying to remove shedded fur... UPDATE: I gave my original set away because he got trained so well I didn't even need them anymore. But it's time to take a vacation and he'll be staying at a friend's house so I had to order more. This time I also ordered 2 rechargeable 9V li-po batteries from Aliexpress. They output 9.5V initially just like alkaline but something about the li-po batteries makes the Tattletale hum, then blow the alarm when it "peaks" then hum again and repeat the whole process, no movement happening. I'm not sure why it does this but it looks like I'm stuck using disposable batteries.
