Excellent Overall For Vintage Lamp Hanging
High quality product overall, well made with a nice looking cloth covering. Best use is for hanging fixtures as the wires are encased in a non stretching hard rubber sheathing that can be clamped at the top of the fixture to prevent the wires from pulling out at the top from the fixture's weight. This inner rubber sheathing is a non-kink material and with just the right amount of flexibility for a nice straight hanging appearance, and is also very strong. I would not suggest this for wiring of table lamps and such because it's too thick (about 5/16") and inflexible for that purpose; proper rayon lamp cord would be better for that use. A piece of advice: put a small amount of crazy glue on the cloth covering where you plan to terminate it when cutting, stripping, etc. It tends to fray and ride up the rubber core when being handled and can't be pulled back down; the glue keeps it in place and prevents fraying. Overall has worked well for re-wiring of vintage ceiling fixtures. Has an authentic look and bears a fair amount of weight.

GREAT Antique Style Cord
Those worked great for my Singer Sewing machine from the 1940’s. It matched the aesthetic perfectly. The quality is great. I used a lighter to melt/shrink the covering when the cord was stripped down and “Y’ed” out for connections. I couldn’t be happier.

Good Quality Looks Like The Photos
The cord looks great and the wires inside were of good quality. I built a pipe lamp using this cord. I frayed the cord a little pulling it through the pipe. That's my fault though and to be expected if you rub fabric against a sharp edge. I have been using it for a couple of months now and no issues. I have plenty left over for my next project. If you're getting this to make a pipe lamp, do yourself a favor and buy a touch dimmer control. I bought one from Lowe's, I'm sure they sell them on Amazon too. Plug the lamp into it and you can touch anywhere on the lame to turn it on and dim. I tried wiring a switch using the JB weld method and it didn't work out well for me. The touch control is much simpler.

Exactly what I needed
Part of a light remodel in the dining room included my wife purchasing some (ahem) "rustic" pendant lights. They do match the rest of the remodel, but I had never been happy with the zip-cord from which they hanged from the track in the ceiling. This cord was the perfect replacement for the zip-cord. The material has that rustic appearance, but the quality of the internal wire, and the tightness of the twists is absolutely perfect.I had some concerns that twist in these cords might have a tendency to untwist when pendant lights were hanging from them, but this product is well engineered. (The direction of the twist of the outer sheath is opposite to the direction of the twist of the inner conductors.)I'm really happy with this purchase.Highly Recommended.

Good wire, but I had difficulties in cutting it
Good wire, but I had difficulties in cutting it. Let me explain: you can't just strip it back as the Rayon frays extraordinarily easily. You have to melt it with a lighter first near the planned cut with a lighter, THEN cut the wire with your dykes. Also, I recommend using "coaxial wire" strippers that are adjustable to strip the outer plastic sheathing off. The reason is that the outer plastic is not the same thickness all the way around, due to the fact that this is a 2-wire, not a 3. You have to be extra careful, or else you'll slice into the wires as you strip. Do yourself a favor and make a bunch of practice cuts on the very end of the cable before you commit to the final cut. Plan on this before you buy it, if you need the full length of this purchase. I assume that's why the ".8" feet is tacked on the end, so you can practice.Good quality cord, however, and the price is one of the better one's on Amazon.

Both functional and stylish this wire was easy to work with
Exactly what I was looking for to make my own sconces for a vacation rental down in Mexico. We used this wire to make 6 sconces and we still have enough left over for at least 2 more. The wire was easy to work with using the SooFoo E27 Medium Light Sockets and INNOCCY Edison Light Bulbs, 60W E26 E27 Vintage Bulbs both found on Amazon. I had originally purchased plain black twisted rope wire but I think the twisted hemp rope is much more interesting and had the beachy feel I was looking for.

Vintage Lamp Repair
Had an old lamp that you can pull the shade and light down or up. The cord was in bad shape so ordered this product to replace it. Was well made, seems very durable, and looks great!

Perfect for our homemade light fixture project!
The media could not be loaded. We purchased this rope for a project (my husband is making a light fixture out of old barn pieces and Edison bulb/light cages). We’re really happy with the quality of the rope. It’s durable and has a good aged/vintage look to it and will work great for our intended purpose. No complaints here!
