The MAIN reason i bought this product is that i have a Gasoline Direct injection!!!! Due to the method if fuel delivery with this type of engine they are prone to build up in the intake and valves....knowing that i sought a product that might help slow/mitigate that issue. I found on BG's website a 60k experiment with my EXACT model with extensive data and pictures showing this product not only stopping the build up but cleaning it out of the system!! If the build up is left untreated it can cause and expensive bill at the mechanic as well as decreased fuel economy the whole way there. I put a can in with every 2-3 tank of gas.

While I love the product and have used BG 44K once a week since I purchased my truck brand new. It seems they are starting to price gouge. May 31 I purchased a 6 pack for $80+, July I purchased the same 6 pack for $100+ now the price is $128 for the exact same thing. Come on now!

I can't really say if this stuff works or not. It's pretty expensive and smells really strong. I haven't looked at the material safety sheet to see what this is made of but I know some people swear by this stuff to clean injectors and deposits. I recently ran about 4 cans of this stuff in my 1999 4runner over a few months (several fill-ups) just to see if it made any difference in an old car. I didn't really notice any change so to me it was a waste. BUT my fuel system might have been fine so who knows. I also tried seafoam, Berry's chemtool, and MMO in my fuel tank with no noticable change either. They probably do clean, but only if your system is really badly dirty already. I recently decided to get new injectors and upgrade my fuel pump so I could supercharge my truck. I pulled my old injectors and dropped my gas tank to install my new fuel pump. I took pictures of my old pump, sock filter, and injectors. They looked pretty good even after 252,000 miles, original. But they're Denso parts....You be the judge. I took off one star for the weird pop top can that needs a funnel to get in your tank as well as the crazy high price
