Will this work on other refillable lighters?

Yes, definitely! I got it specifically for that reason. Because at the restaurant I work at we use butane torch guns. I wanted to find an adapter that has the tip to fill lighters yet have a base that locks onto those butane cans.

can i connect this to my home central gas line?

NO! This is meant to screw onto the top of a gas cylinder like the one's Walmart cells.

do you have to have the adaptor to fill the soto lighter?

I guess if you worked with metal a lot you could make one but it would not be as nice as this one. It is necessary to have a thin needle and a valve (which is what makes up this adapter, essentially) to get gas from a camping stove-type canister (the type with threads on it to thread into a jet boil or such) into the lighter. Alternatively, the common butane refill cylinders with the skinny plastic needle will also work.

Does anyone know what size the thread is and the pitch?

I don't know the exact thread size and pitch, but I have one of these and it fits the standard ISOPRO portable camp stove canister head that all of the portable camping stoves fit. So if you had one of those lying around then you could measure it there.

Un bon adaptateur pour grosse recharge

Cet adapteur va très bien sûr tout les produits SOTO briquets et chalumeau et brûleurs. Mais à la condition d'utiliser des bouteilles de recharge très grande . Si l'on utilise une petite bouteille de gaz liquide moins de 500 ml cet adapteur ne sert à rien car les petit flaconnage se branchent directement sur le briquet à recharger.
