Learning can be fun!
Honestly, buy these! I was skeptical my 2.5 year old would like these but the play down never dries out, is easy to clean up and the cards are so cute and helpful! Our toddler loves to put the foam in the “bubbles” and count/learn. Love this for making learning fun.

Nice tactile medium for creating anything the imagination can conjure up
I thought this Playfoam would be a fun activity to do with our almost 3-year old. We did spend quite a bit of time playing with it but she is not quite old enough yet to reap all of the benefits of this type of activity...but I am! I like the texture and feel of this foam. It reminds me a bit of making rice crispy cookies without the stickiness. We played with two colors at a time and though I tried to keep them separated, our 3-year old didn't have that same goal. So in the end, we have a variegated mixture. As many have said, the cards are nice but a bit perplexing. We were able to play a fun letter game together so they were used as an educational asset. The individual beads sometimes drop from the mixture. You can reincorporate them but some fall in odd hiding places and are not found until cleanup time is over. So you may be finding little beads for days. But the upside is that they do not stick to anything or stain it, so no harm is done. All in all, I like this foam. It is a nice tactile medium for creating anything the imagination can conjure up. This foam vs play dough...you cannot make as detailed a project as you can with playdough but it can be used for different types of creativity. Since it does not dry out, you can start one day and add on or finish the next. Sometimes dividing projects is good for short attention spans!

Not yet
I liked the idea of this but my 3 year old was not ready and the foam is really difficult to pry out of the carpet.
