DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4 - Silver

I didn't know I could like a controller this much. It has a touchpad that I can use as a mouse on my laptop So, I run Windows 10 on a lower end convertable laptop, and Windows 7 on a much more powerful gaming laptop. Light gaming: For games like Don't Starve and Stardew Valley, I can use the touchpad with Steam (it has native DS4 support!) as a mouse. It's useful during certain times in both of those games, mostly Stardew Valley. You can also change the touchpad click to basically anything, since it essentially works as the R button. Hardcore gaming: So on my gaming laptop, I actually use the SCPToolkit instead of Steam and have this working as an XBox 360 controller, because it has better support for games and you can use it without running the Steam Client. The vast majority of my games are not in Steam. With that, I can use it via bluetooth, which I really enjoy, because I tend to like to be further away from that machine which is plugged into a monitor/television. It works in my shooting games (though I don't play any hardcore FPS) such as Fallout and Borderlands, as well as in my open world / RPG games like Skyrim and Dragon Age. It's comfortable, and the padding on the analog sticks doesn't seem to be as annoying or prone to breakage as the Dualshock 3. The directional buttons are less hard on my thumb and the L2/R2 button recession is nice. On the PC, the Share button works as Select, and the Option button works as start. PS activates stuff in Steam. I have no idea what the EXT port does, and the charging port is the standard microusb, meaning I can finally get rid of all the miniusb cords I had lying around specifically for my old controller. Or rather, put them in the basement where I'm going to put that raggedy old controller in case I need it, heh. The only sad thing is that in neither situation does it yet seem to be possible to use the speaker in the controller. Update: Support for using the controller as headphones has been added, but it has to be plugged in so I never use it.

This controller is the new PS4 Pro model, the difference being the LED light that you can see in the rear light bar is also visible at the top of the touchpad in the front, so you can see the light status while you're playing, which is nice. The Dualshock 4 is a great controller for a great gaming console, and this replacement is no different. The color on the controller is not uniform, and I would like it better if the rear grips were the same shiny silver color as the rest of the front frame. You can see what I mean in my attached picture. Still, it looks great. I don't have any real complaints about this controller. If you need a replacement controller or an additional controller and like silver, this one is easy to recommend. Five stars. Pros: -A good controller distilled to perfection in design. The ergonomics/button placement make it work better for a wider array of games than any other pad I can think of. -Most reliable Bluetooth device I've ever used. I use this with Windows 10 via DS4Windows and have never had any connection or compatibility issues. -Touchpad/Gyro are really useful for Wii/Wii U emulation Cons: -The build quality is decent but not great. After a few weeks my unit started to feels creaky in the grips where the plastic seams come together. My L2 button also has a slight wobble to it when fully actuated that the R2 button does not have. YMMV. -The placement of the Options/Share buttons is the one flaw in an otherwise flawless design. I know there's nowhere else to put them, but they're easy to accidentally press when using core buttons in their vicinities.

Purchased the CUH-ZCT2U in silver finish. Have never owned or used a play station controller. Last used a controller in 1989 playing a primitive Nintendo console set. Bought this to enable easier control with PC racing games. Works great. Paired the blue tooth immediately with the on-board BT of the x99a Gaming Titanium motherboard. Had to download & install DS4Windows (piece of cake) as well as the 64 bit driver for MS Xbox (Microsoft does not make this an easy task) but you can find the driver after a few minutes searching the 'net, you just won't find it on Microsoft's official site. Force feedback levels provide excellent tactile response during racing games. This is a great alternative to over-paying for the 300 to 500 dollar steering wheel sets. USB connectivity works great for minimum latency use and for charging controller battery. You need that application and the MS driver to help the DS4 emulate an Xbox controller on Windows 7 64bit. Watched several videos to learn how to best configure this unit for personal computer with Windows 7x64.

El control fue un regalo para mi hijo y le gusto mucho el color, el plateado dice que es su color favorito asi que encantado. El control tiene aproximadamente un año de uso y sigue funcionando genial.
