I found the sizing description very confusing. I decided to order the 40" size. Here's what I got....The outer most measurement of the brackets is 39.5" wide. Meaning if you have a 40" niche that the shade has to fit in, there would be .25" left to space on each side of the brackets.The shade fabric itself turned out to be 38.5" wide. I intend to install this shade above my window frame. I was wanting the shade fabric itself to be wider. I will have to see if this is going to work or not. Might have to return. I'm trying to block out the light. I will have curtains too, so it might work. I just wanted to warn people what they will get so that they will order what they actually need,Update.... I decided to keep the size I ordered. The shade is very nice quality. Fabric on both sides. They are not like the old style of roller shades where you give them a tug and they violently spring upwards. They raise in a slow steady pace all the way to the top. If you want the shade to cover the upper half part of the window then you need to wait for the shade to go all the way to the top and then bring it back down to where you want it. They do block the light but it does peek out on the sides. But I have curtains for this problem. Also I had a little bit of an issue with installing. I found them to be hard to snap into the wall brackets. I found that you have to squeeze the part that snaps into the bracket and push pretty hard. If I had had a taller ladder I would have had more leverage to do so, but I don't have a lot of upper body strength and working above my head was challenging. I was able to do it though. I installed two shades and I suppose there was a learning curve. The second one was easier. Also I was screwing into wood and I needed to find some shorter screws than what they gave me for this purpose. But I definitely would order these shades again.

To complete all the windows in my house! These are beautiful, easy to install, and a great price!!!

Installation is a breeze. I had some bamboo nonsense with twine and whatnot before these. Now, it's just pure, clean slow rolling goodness keeping out that wretched fireball in the sky... and my neighbors' prying eyes. Once installed, they lock in place at various positions. I've got four in one room, and it's very satisfying to have them all at pretty much the exact same height without having to think about it much. Then, if you want to roll them up, just give them a slight tug, and they'll slow roll back to the top. It's not whiplash, murdersome fast like they delivered in the '80s. They're not blackout, but they certainly get the sun-blocking job done too.

The shade is beautiful. Good quality. I like the slow movement as well.

La compre por que necesitaba bloquear la luz de mi cocina y lo conseguí.Anteriormente tenía cortinas y decidí cambiarlas por esta persiana lo cual me encantó...!!Cumple su función perfectamente. Lo único que no me gusta es que es ligera, donde vivo hay vientos fuertes durante el día y la persiana se mueve constantemente pero, tan simple como subirla totalmente y listo, deja de tambalearse.La recomiendo es económica, fácil de instalar y de usar ✅

This shade blocks a bit too much of the sunshine. I would say, it reduces about 75% of the light. A bit too much for me.

Great looking product, but really only works if you have a width that's 1/2-3/4 above a whole number, in which case you get the one size up. I bought the 22in for my window that's also 22" and it was just shy of being enough to cover the whole window unfortunately.

This is an amazing shade. It was extremely easy to install. It was a good price. The only issue that I has with it was width. I had to return it to get one that was wider, to actually, cover the window. This may be because I used it for a bay window.

I thought it was expensive when I bought it, but after receiving it, I'd say it was worth the price compared to the other cheap ones on Amazon. The mounting hardware is sturdy metal so it should last and holds the blind very securely (wall or ceiling mount). I've used cheap one in the past where the plastic mount would eventually age and fall apart. The vinyl material should last well for use in a kitchen, so it shouldn't absorb smells and will be easier to clean than cloth. The roll up mechanism rolls up slow and smoothly. I've had cheap ones that don't control the roll up speed and will fall out of the hanger due to the jostling from the fast roll up.

Nous les avons installés (4) pour des fenêtres de notre véranda. Ils procurent une ombre apaisante pour nous et pour nos plantes lorsque le soleil est trop ardent. Le ressort pour la remonté du store se fait lentement et tout en douceur. Nous sommes très satisfaits de notre achat.

Product received wasn't 31in wide, but 29, which leave 1in on each side of my window.Also feels like it wasn't a new item, the brackets are missing paint where the shade clips and also have several scratches.

They came in a box covered with grease, with the parts broken inside. They looked to be ok blinds, I’m blaming quality control. But Lowe’s sell Levolor solar blinds, that they will customize the size in store, on spot, and they’re cheaper!

Soft close , work and look great so far. We’ll see if they hold up but for now I am happy
