Glocusent Willow Book Light for Reading in Bed, 10 LED Bright Reading Light

This light is small in size, but big in performance. I was a little alarmed at how small and light the box was when it arrived - to the point where I was worried that it was either the wrong product, or that the book light would be toy-like. I needn't have worried. This light is much smaller and much lighter in weight than my previous rechargeable LED book light - but it performs even better and has a few more useful features. It is very well designed and solidly constructed. The light is bright and dispersion is good; it easily lights a standard paperback or hardback book, pages open. The three colors of light are about as expected - except that the amber color setting is very, very warm. Think campfire-embers type warm. The three colors are easily selected by a toggle on the top of the light head. I read by the mid-range light. The amber light is useful if we want to use this book light as a kind of bed-side night light if someone is climbing into bed later. The three light levels are also as-expected, and range from fairly dim to quite strong. They're fine - and easily selected by another button on the top of the light head. It would be nice to have a simple on/off switch instead of having to toggle through the light levels (which are: dim, mid, bright, and 'off'), but that's not a big complaint. The other benefits and features of this light more than offset this shortcoming. This Glocusent book light runs circles around my older light. It just does the job better and is easier to live with ... and handsomer to look at, too. There might be better book lights out there, but I haven't see one that beats this. We'll be ordering another.

Bought multiple ones in various colors, I liked them so much. Wonderful how they can be twisted to stay out of the way when reading paperbacks. Also can be rotated so the lighting stays away from a bedside partner. You do need to keep track of when they might need charging; but they last a pretty long time because they have "low-medium-high" settings. Usefui if you want to use them elsewhere - they work even after the charging battery dies if you just plug them into their own source of power. If their battery runs out and you don't charge them up in time again so the battery dies, they are still functional for lighting the undersides of obscure storage areas by providing their own power source full time.. I keep a laptop in a standup cubby with other things that are tricky to see, even in daytime that benefit from having a little light there; that's where i use the expired ones. Also I use one of them by my bed when I want a dim source of light to not wake me fully as a nightlight. They also work well clipped to your clothes or hat when you want to see the keys on your laptop that aren't backlit or just as a headlamp. They last for a long time once fully charged - if you keep up on regularly charging them and use them down to around 60% before you put them into storage. Drawbacks: You can't stick them in a pack or purse because they will turn themselves on pretty easily. If you bend their necks in opposite ways, they stop working because the wires inside the neck get broken - so be careful of how often you bend the neck back and forth. I'm very happy with the ones I have and they have lasted over a year when I remembered to charge them regularly.

For the money seems hard to beat. There are multiple brightness and tone settings. Works great.

Easy to use and holds a decent charge. I love the different brightness and light settings. Pretty lightweight as well but not cheap feeling.

Lightweight, nice bright light at full charge. Easy to use, 2 buttons and one charging port. Offers warm light, blue light, and natural/outdoor light with each having 3 levels of brightness. Clamp is decent if used upright, but will shift under the weight of itself if you’re trying to attach it sideways to a smooth surface like polished wood. The neck has a limited range of bend at the base and middle. Upper neck has more range of motion. LIFE: the description states something like 80 hours on the lowest setting. I used this light for my lap desk to draw and expected to use it for reading. The lowest brightness wasn’t useful for drawing, the medium brightness was good at full charge, and the highest brightness was great at full charge. The brightest setting lasts maybe 45min -1 hour before I realize I am straining due to the light being so much dimmer. So I’d say full brightness lasts 30min before gradually losing power. This is still a good stretch of time for such a small cordless light, so I’m keeping this for my books but ended up getting a stronger clamp, brighter corded light for drawing.

I use it traveling anytime I need a flashlight in a room, the car, etc. It's quite bright for it's size. I use it as a nightlight so I don't need to turn on a light. On low and with the amber light I can see the whole room well enough to not trip on something and it will go for a couple of nights. Face it away from your eyes and it isn't so bright it will keep you awake. It sits on a flat surface easily. Charge light is convenient. Nice if the power goes out and more useful than a regular flashlight because it will sit flat or clip on to something. The flexible neck gives you a wide spread of positions and while it is lightweight it is heavy enough to sit on a flat surface and face down without falling over. Charges pretty fast, too. 3 colors and 3 levels is useful. Very useful for such a small light. Recommended.

I bought one of these for me and my young son. We both like to look at books or read before bed. My husband always falls asleep next to me and these give the option of different colored lights (yellow is what I use at night) and different brightnesses. So it doesn’t bother him or wake him up. The light isn’t overly bright and doesn’t “wake my son back up” at night by him using the low yellow light. The “charge” holds for a few weeks at least, for us. My son also can carry it around if he has to go to the bathroom at night. Overall- I love these. Great gifts too. Nothing bad to say about them. Size is perfect to. The clip is sturdy and strong unless it’s on a very slippery smooth surface sideways. It will slip some. They work best when you clip them so gravity helps hold them (vertically).

Very light weight, arrived with a charged battery : ) neck is flexible and lights up the whole book surface. The colors are just right and light dims to a comfortable level for bedtime reading. I've seen it attached to nightstand or headboard instead of directly to the book and that works too. Feedback for seller: change the switch to begin at brightest setting and cycle to lowest/ dimmest just before shut-off - this way we didn't have to see the brightest light before turning it off for the night ; )

I didn’t have that high of an expectation because of the good price. I’m so impressed, it’s sturdy, have good levels of light and was loaded when it arrived so I could use it immediately. I have nothing to complain about.

This reading light is super handy and does the perfect job, The different tone and brightness settings are very handy. I use this light every evening to ready and only need to charge it once a week.

Excellent reading light. Great quality. Long battery life so far.
