My favorite baking powder. It covers up the creases around my mouth and forehead really well. I can tell a huge difference when I have it on and when I don't. Really easy to wipe off excess product. Highly recommend.

Not as fine as I prefer. I have mature skin, so this powder made my under eyes cakey. It did help brighten my under eyes and a little product goes a long way. Would be nice if the container was larger, because I like to pour the product in the cap. Okay price a little pricey for me.

This comes just the jar inside a sealed bag. There’s no outer product box. The product page says they are cruelty free (PETA approved - their global “beauty without bunnies” program).The jar is on the smaller side. I was pretty surprised, but it’s not a big deal. I just prefer jars to be a little wider so my brush gets in the cap nicely when I go to pick up the powder. But, it still works good enough.I have normal to dry skin, more on the dry side with some extremely dry areas. So, I am really picky about powders and I don’t find many I like for my entire face, and even less that I like for under my eyes where I seem to have the most dryness. This claimed to be “lighter than light, so much so that you’ll forget you’re even wearing it,” so it sounded like it would be light enough where it wouldn’t look too dry or cakey and figured that it was worth a try! But, it did say it will “mattify the skin,” so I was a little worried about it looking or feeling dry on my skin.I got the translucent shade. I always figure that’s the best to go with online when you don’t know anything about the brand and how their shades are. It’s always the safe option for me! This is truly translucent. It hasn’t changed the color of my concealer or foundation. It doesn’t go on looking white at all. It’s really translucent.Overall, I like this a lot. It applies nicely. It goes on smooth and looks smooth. It didn’t accentuate any of my dry areas. It set my makeup nicely without looking or feeling dry. If you use just a small amount, it does feel light on the skin. It even goes on nicely under my eyes. It’s become my go to setting powder for under my eyes, which says A LOT about this powder! I’ve STRUGGLED finding powders that work well under my eyes. Most make the concealer look cakey and the area look so dry! This actually makes my under eye area look smoother, which is RARE! It works just as well all over the face too, but I have a few other powders that work well all over the face but don’t work well under my eyes, so this one has become my under eye powder! And it works out given the smaller jar because my under eye powder brush is smaller than my all over face powder brush 😂 I definitely recommend this, especially if, like me, you have trouble finding a powder that doesn’t look or feel dry on the skin or make your concealer/foundation look cakey!

I did not receive the banana powder, instead I received this little cream pigment pallet… the colors in the pallet don’t suit me & it’s not what Intended to receive so it’s a NO for me.

I use banana powder regularly to set my makeup or prime my eyelid for eyeshadow. I find that a very good banana setting powder will make my eyeshadow flawless and last all day. Carter Beauty banana setting powder by Marissa Carter arrives in a small .3 oz container. It is half the size of my favorite banana powder. I have found that it works well for my eyelids but it is too drying for under my eyes. It does give my skin a mild golden or yellow pigment. This can be seen in photos. This powder seems a bit more pigmented than my usual powder. It is not as fine of a powder and sits a little heavy. I prefer it to be thinner and to have a silky texture. So far, I like it but it is not as easy to work with as some that I have used.Suggestions for improvement for my skin type- Normal (not oily)-Thinner powder that can easily refine pores and does not sit as heavy-Larger container-A silkier texture/appearance after application.-Less dry

This is smaller than I had anticipated, however, it’s very comparable to the $36 translucent powder that I use daily under my eyes, over concealer, to brighten the area up, and set my concealer. It is a smaller container then that, but not very much so, so price wise it is still a better deal, and works equally as well, as far as I can tell. I don’t use that color all over my face, as I can look a bit pale when I do. I did try it yesterday, and it worked well at controlling oil.. one of my biggest skin woes. I was thinking about getting the banana color, as I think the yellow tint might be perfect for my under eye area (dark circles), but I played it safe and used the color I’m using now, but I may order that color next time just to give it a try.I’m pleased with it. It may seem small and priced a bit high IF you use typical, drug store brands, but if you are used to tiering a level up on your cosmetics, I think you’ll find this to be a good value, with comparable results. I can’t take off any stars for the size factor, being that it still works out cheaper then my current brand.I like Carter cosmetics in general, and find them priced well in comparison to my other cosmetics. I live in Louisiana - the state that surely has the most schizophrenic weather in the world. This time of year, especially, it's not at all uncommon for us to have to use both the heat and the AC in a single day. It happens all the time. That said, it can make things like skin care, makeup, hair styling more difficult than those places where you have stable conditions.I usually need the most help with my eye makeup, as far as setters go. I've tried both the powders and those spray on varieties, which I hate. The spray ons simply make my makeup run more. Some powders are better than others. I find this one to be better than most.I'm fair-skinned, so I went with the translucent. It doesn't alter my coloration (which y'all know, sometimes "translucent" simply isn't), and it leaves my overall face with a smoother-looking finish. It also does extend the life of my eye makeup, which is what I need and want.I'm pleased with this and would definitely recommend!

Wasn't expecting this to perform as well as it did due to the price point. It's definitely become a new staple in my makeup kit. If you're looking for a cheap alternative and one that doesn't overly dry out your skin but still leaves you with that stay-all-day-airbrush look, then this should definitely be bought. I didn't have to touch up my makeup through a 6 hour day due either. Best for an everyday look.
