Directions: To prepare stock, add base to cold or lukewarm water and stir immediately with a wire whip to dissolve. Bring to a boil. A soup base makes an excellent foundation for creating or enhancing stocks, pan sauces, chowders, gumbos, paella, cioppino, steaming mussels or clams and mayonaise or sour cream based dips and spreads. Use prepared stock to create home-style soups or to enhance pasta, rice dishes, risottos and casseroles.
