Decent algael based omega 3 capsules
A reasonable algal-based omega-3 supplement. Being from algae, it is vegan-friendly, and the lack of plastic packaging does in theory suggest a more environmentally-sustainable approach. It is also certified as free of pollutants. The capsules themselves are mid-size -while they aren't tiny, they are not of horse-pill proportions, so few people should have any particular issues on that front. The quantity of the critical EPA and DHA components of omega-3 is reasonable, though not spectacular, which is fairly typical for algal based types -setting aside other considerations for a moment, they are usually better in this sense than flaxseed or similar types of oil, but rarely quite reach the levels of a quality fish-derived source. As a middle-ground approach then, the algal types seem to hit a reasonable compromise. In this case, you do pay for the privilage -at almost £22 for 90 at the time of writing (early March '03) they're not cheap, but there are more expensive offerings on the market too, which are not necessarily any better, so if you want a decent algal based omega-3 supplement, in reasonably sustainable packaging, at a mid-level price, this is certainly worth considering.

Good Omega 3 Supplement
These Omega 3 capsules come in a resealable foiled pouch. Given that, like most similar product, part of the sales pitch is that they are sustainable, it would be nice if they investigated what was the best packaging in terms of sustainability e.g., an easily recyclable container. These are made from algae oil so are vegan and are described as ‘free from ocean pollution’. I found the capsules to be tasteless when swallowed which was good, with no algae aftertaste. They are not the biggest of capsules and I found then reasonable easy to swallow with a drink of water. One of these a day is the recommended dose and so this 90-capsule pack gives you about three months’ supply at that dosage.

Nothing wrong with it other than the price
It doesn't smell very nice when you open it, however luckily there is no aftertaste. But overall there is nothing wrong with it other than the price. I currently buy another make that is only £1 dearer but has double the amount of Vegan omega 3 per capsule (also one per day), so I'd rather order that one.I hope you found this helpful. Do let me know if you did. Thanks

A good quality supplement. No side effects.
When I opened the package the capsules wafted a fishy odour. However, when I swallow and ingest the capsule, there is neither odour nor aftertaste of anything fishy or even seaweedy.I am familiar with plant-based omega-3 supplements made from yeast and not from algae. This brand’s omega-3 fatty acids supplement has a DHA to an EPA ratio that targets the healthy functioning of cells in the brain, eyes and skin. Not as much for cardiovascular support.1 capsule contains 210mg of DHA and 70mg of EPA (3:1 ratio)The good thing about this higher DHA: EPA ratio is that it reduces nerve cell death and strengthens protection against the development of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.Usually, the ratio is the other way around if the supplement is designed to help promote a healthy cardiovascular system. EPA: DHA would be 3:1Overall this is a good quality supplement that doesn’t cause me any side effects.

Omega 3 capsules suitable for vegans
Omega 3 is beneficial for good eye, heart and brain health. I have dry eye and take these to try and help alleviate the symptoms. This is a good dose - 302mg of Omega 3 - DHA 210mg and EPA 210mgRecommended dose is 1 x Soft gel a day to be taken with food. They are small and easy to swallow with no aftertaste. This pack lasts 3 months and at £21.99 its good value as these capsules are made from seaweed and not gelatine (gelatine are generally cheaper but obviously not suitable for vegans)These Omega 3 capsules are suitable for vegans and vegetarians and are GMO free, contain no heavy metals, dioxins or PCBs - great credentialsRECOMMENDED

Good value supplement which ticks all the boxes in terms of sourcing
Some supplements don’t live up to close examination of claims about their ingredients, but this one does. The description shows all the details you need on this, including the fact that the product is actually registered with the Vegan Society, so the Vegan labelling is not a empty claim. The statement “1 capsule per day is sufficient to fulfill your daily omega 3 requirement according to the European Food Safety Authority standards” is roughly correct, as the EFSA recommended range is 250-500mg. Some Vegan Omega-3 products cost as much as this for one month’s dosage, so this one is good value. It would still be good value if you took two a day, which would give you a month and a half of higher dosage.

Decent fish free Omega 3, buta touch low in DHA
With such much competition in the fish free Omega 3 market the only real differentiating features are price and DHA quantity. They all look at taste basically the same, and they're all far smaller and more pleasant to swallow than the old school fsh juice equivalents. On the DHA front these are pretty typical and just squeak into the daily recommended amount threshold (250-500), and the price is competitive too.A solid option then.
