I bought this to replace the stock pressurized baskets in the ec155. The basket fits the portafilter perfectly, but often gets stuck in the group head. A little presssure is all it needs and it pops right out. The quality of espresso i get with this is much better than the stock baskets.

I got this for the Delonghi EC155 to replace the stock pressurized basket. It fits perfectly. I have modified the portafilter as seen in the photos.For me, the ideal dose for this basket is 14g in and 30g out in 28 sec for medium dark beans (with a grind setting of 7 with the Breville smart grinder pro, factory setting of 6 for the inner burr). And this is for straight espresso shots without milk. I could reduce the dose and get a slightly more balanced shot, but the difference isnt that noticeable. Also, any dose lower than 14g does not give me a large enough output for my desired espresso ratio of around 2.2.For milk drinks, I've increased the dose to 18g in and 40g out in 41 sec. That was with a setting of 9 on the Breville smart grinder pro. Thats the setting used for the video.Was that ideal, no. Was there channelling along with some sourness, yes. Could I taste the difference even with the milk, yes. But it was a subtle difference. They were still good milk drinks that I would certainly drink if offered in a cafe. I could get the grind setting courser to aim for the 30 sec brew time, but it would make the shot too sour for me.To conclude, this basket works for the cheap delonghi EC155, can fit upto 18g of coffee comfortably, maybe slightly more, but I prefer a dose of 14g. Good value for money. Also, not sure how I would comment on the 'flavor' of the basket :) which I was prompted to do. I gave it 5 stars for flavor because why not.

When you look up casabrew baskets, this is what pops up. The description doesn’t say it fits casabrew systems, but I couldn’t find my correct basket…so I took a risk and ordered the one Amazon suggested.It’s not the correct one.However 5 stars because it looks as if it’s made well.
