Highly Recommend
We got this for our grandson's birthday and he loves all the talking the car does and that he can push it along. This car goes with the Vtech Go Go Smartwheels sets and we plan to give him one of those for Christmas. So we got the car early so he could have an additional car to go with his set. They are built very sturdy and for little hands.

Terrific tow truck for toddlers
This toy is perfect for children ages 1 to 5. The details include a talking driver that lights up, well made car that fits little hands, bright colors with specific details like a towing hook for the tow truck. The price was very reasonable.

Go Go Smart Vehicles: a favorite with my toddler boys
This review is for the VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Green Race Car. Some other reviews seem to be talking about some other toys. I'm not sure how these reviews are being combined, but that's what I'm reviewing. My 20 month old twin boys love cars and trains. I bought this close to a year ago for them and I'm just now getting around to reviewing it. While my boys are toddlers and are "on to next toy" as often as anyone, the vtech cars have been a consistent favorite of theirs over the last several months. They like all the cars, but this one appears to be their favorite. I don't know why. They have the vtech race tracks for these cars and they love to make the cars run around the tracks (especially the loop). They also really just like pushing the car around on the floor...table...wall...brother...whatever it can roll on. The fact that it talks is a big hit with them and they'll press the button over and over for a bit to hear what it says. That's with all the cars (and go go smart animals) for that matter, not just this one.I think the cars are about the right size and weight for them. The cars feel substantial, but aren't too bulky for them to carry around and play with. And, of course, there is durability. All of my boy's toys have to be able to take their share of aggressive play. These cars have been dropped, crashed, thrown, used in a sandbox, and maybe even placed in water table (which I wouldn't recommend) and are still around to talk about how it wants to win the race and be a star. So, good marks for toughness.

Dumb animals, dumb track
This is a general review for all the smart animals, the deluxe smart track set, the smart wheels cars, the smart wheels spiral spinning tower, the smart animals zoo explorers set.Individually the Smart animals or vehicles are quite cute and my 3 yr old daughter loves them. And because this keeps my daughter entertained I'm going to give more than 1 star. Here's what I find annoying about the whole system:With 5 animals/cars the noise is tremendous! Each animal sings over the other! The blurb states that cars can work on the zoo set and animals on the road set.Yes they do physically fit on the other tracks but the smart points only trigger a meaningful response if the animal is used on the animal track and if the vehicle is used on the road track. e.g there is a point on the animal track where all the animals comment on being cold, yet when a car is placed there it doesn't say anything about the cold, and why can't the animals comment about being nice and clean when going through the car wash? Also each track is supposed to connect to the other, they do but its extremely difficult to make a closed loop. I bought the zoo set and the tower 1st but my daughter was getting frustrated trying to make a closed track (loop). She couldn't and even with the extra pieces in the deluxe track set (which I ordered later), it is still incredibly difficult to make a circuit. The spinning tower is my daughters favorite, however the blue car wash ramp comes away far to easily. She still likes to play with the set without the blue ramp. The Zoo explorer set has a red elevator feature which is particularly cheap and stiff.

This is the second Vtech smart wheels car we have purchased for him and I ...
My 2 year old son loves this race car. This is the second Vtech smart wheels car we have purchased for him and I like that this one has better sound effects and less songs than his other vtech car (the tow truck). Both cars have a power switch on the bottom so you can turn off the sounds and that is a plus!

You will get whatever car they want to send you. Not the one you order.
It's a great toy. But when your 5 year old has autism and you specifically need the GREEN car, you expect to receive the GREEN car that you ordered. My child has autism but knows the difference between green and YELLOW. My child worked hard to earn this small prize. And now he has a yellow car. It seems like a small thing. But it isnt. I should have immediately sent it back. But I thought I could make the yellow car ok. I couldn't. Because sometimes autism sucks, and so does this yellow car.

very loud and annoying
I find this entire V-Tech set to be extremely loud and the songs are terrible! That being said - the kids enjoy it. I, however, want to throw them all against the wall. My husband agrees. We will be donating ours.
