Great Resource
I use this workbook the years I have first grade students or second graders, which has been several times over the years. It is easy to use and the children enjoy the activities when time allows. It’s a great introduction to the Alef Bet.

PERFECT for my 5 year old
This book is absolutely perfect for my 5 year old who reads English well and wants to learn to read Hebrew. Each lesson is short, and all of the activities are easy to understand. Interspersed among the substantive exercises are little "fun" activities -- connect the dots, mazes, etc. to keep his interest. And he is learning to read! Each lesson has so much repetition of letters and sounds learned in previous lessons that even though he had a lot of trouble with things like remembering the difference between chaf and kaf, after 5 lessons or so in which both letters were used he has it down pat. He is so proud of himself because he can now open up a bentcher and sound out simple words!

Simple review
Arrived on time and was new. In regards to the actual content, I've only been taking Hebrew for two weeks so it's difficult to speak to the usefulness of it. Also, I tend to pick up on languages very easily and I know several other languages which help me to associate the Hebrew characters with other non English words and therefore memorize much faster. So my saying the content is easy wouldn't be a fair assessment or of help. Thank you.

Solid pre-primer
Shalom alef-bet! is a solid pre-primer that was easy to teach to my son. He loved doing it, and often asked to do more than one lesson at a time. The text is large enough to make it easy for little eyes to read, the graphics are fun, and the games through out encourage the student in a refreshing way. I will be using this again for my daughter when she is old enough.

great beginning
I bought this book to introduce my 3rd grader to the Hebrew alef-bet. It was a great, gentle beginning, although if I had it to do over, I probably would have started her right in at the next level, Shalom Uvrachah, since there is a lot of overlap between the two books. For a first or second grader, though, I think it would be perfect.

Nice book
Good book. Only issue is that it does not exactly do the letters in order. It would be a 5 if it did.

I purchased this for 12 students ages 5 to 12. Adults are asking for the book also. It's very simple and adults can pace themselves as they adjust to family and work schedules.

Not for conservative/orthodox kids
If you are a reformist Jew this may be good for you, I’m not, so It could have be confusing for my children
