Forged in Fire (A Red-Hot SEALs Novel Book 1)

Very nice plot, well-written, although a bit confusing in minor detailing sometimes. And the end seemed rather abrupt. But i enjoyed the novel, am going to read the next one too. Thanks for giving us the reading pleasure..

Amazing story, so much unexpected, mysterious, dark. I had goose bumps from staring off first few pages. So unreal as in amazing. You just have to believe…

Meine Erwartungen an das Buch waren nicht besonders groß. Ich dachte es wäre eine Liebesgeschichte ohne viel Tiefgang.Stattdessen wurde ich überrascht. Das Buch ist von Anfang an super spannend.Beth hat einen merkwürdigen Albtraum der nach und nach zur Realität wird. Als sie etwas gegen die kommende Tragödie unternehmen will, trifft sie auf Zane, den sie aus ihrem Traum „kennt“.Beide haben von Anfang eine starke Verbindung die sich mit der Zeit festigt.Gemeinsam versuchen sie alles um die Flugzeugentführung zu verhindern, was auch gelingt aber viele neue Probleme schafft.Ich war von Anfang an von dem Buch gefesselt und konnte es kaum aus der Hand legen.Die Protagonisten sind starke Individuen, die sich perfekt ergänzen. Obwohl das Buch in sich abgeschlossen ist, bleiben einige Fragen offen, die hoffentlich im Folgeband beantwortet werden.

I'm re-reading this series for the third time. I can't get enough of it. This is a series that pulls out all the stops and then some. Here's one for all the SEAL TEAM lovers and I don't even mind all the swearing they do. Go figure.

As I started reading the first page of Forged in Fire I felt like I had been dropped in the middle of an action flick. Ms. McCallan sets the story up brilliantly. The pages go by with ease as the smooth writing style keeps the reader immersed in this hot story. It was a mistake on my part to start this story at eleven at night because once I got a glimpse of this novel I could not stop reading. However, it is one I do not regret! I spent the entire night on the edge as I traversed this suspenseful treat.I could absolutely feel the immediate connection between Zane and Beth. It was definitely like the world realigned to the perfect position when these two met eyes across the room. There are many things I like about this story; starting with the fact that it features so many intriguing characters. There isn't a lot of time for romance as the plot unfolds around Zane and Beth but I still fell for this couple because of Ms. McCallan's deft writing. The terrorist plot is full of evil villains and some hard to read scenes. I felt like I was right in the middle of this titillating story. I wanted to join in and fight the bad guys with them. Yet another one of the things I really like is that in this story the heroine is not stuck like glue to the hero. It would not be realistic that Zane would take Beth into danger if not necessary. I like that fact that these characters keep cool heads and take appropriate action only when they have to.I love the secondary characters! I cannot get enough of these brave men and women. I also cannot wait for the next Forged book featuring Cosky! I must know what happens to this valiant warrior.You don't want to miss this Recommended Read; Forged in Fire is sure to become a suspenseful romance addict's drug of choice.Reviewed by MirandaFor Joyfully Reviewed

This is a very very good book. From the moment Beth and Zane meet it sets the book up to be fast moving and is so different than other books like this. Its a twist on a theme and it works.Zane is a Naval SEAL and is psychic, stemming from a long line of warriers who all have special abilities. Before boarding a plane to attend a wedding with the rest of his team he has a vision about the flight. Unbeknown to him Beth who works for the airline has also had the same vision but in the form of a dream. They meet and fireworks explode. Beth is Zane's soul mate the woman he has waited 10 years to meet. Sounds corny? Nope its not. The opening few chapters take you on a trip involving hijackers, visions, lust, and violence.It was refreshing to read a book thats had a bit of thought put into it. You find out about Zane's SEAL team and the 'bad guys' (whom you develop a bit of empathy for to be honest). You meet Cosky and Rawls and their boss 'cranky' Mac (who I'll be honest sounds just 'fine' to me and I hope he gets his own story). Beth is well written - she doesn't fall head over heels with Zane immediatley but the developing relationship between the two is so well written. The interplay with their communication is great and the sex scene is spot on. (I doubt I am giving much away by saying that). The romance isn't everything though the story is well written to, violence, humour and guns. The author hasn't shy'd away from the fact that people do bad things whether they are the hero's or the villans.A few reviewers have mentioned a poor ending. I think I downloaded the updated version because it ended right. There are loads of loose ends still hanging!March 2013 can't come soon enough for the next one! (please can Mac be the 3rd book?!!)
