Forged in Fire: A Greek Mythology Academy Retelling (Academy of Olympus Book 1)

This story shows promise. For lovers of Percy Jackson and similar series, this story will be attractive, but it's not even close in sheer writing ability. Having said that, I love that the main character is smart and the child of an atypical Godly parent; and the story is well paced. I find it really difficult to digest stories where the main hero/heroine is a bumbling fool with massive ego issues.However, for me, that's where the positives end. There are many typos and the prose is disjointed. I found myself reading back multiple times because it felt like I missed some crucial plot points. There are also discrepancies in the mentions of the heroine's age. While the world building and the plot points were just sufficient, there is just so much potential for more.The author would gain alot from the services of proof readers and a good editor. A good editor will really help to take what is surely a good idea and make it great. And in the hopes that the author taps into the potential of a good story and employs a good editor, I am going to stick with this series for the time being. I hope to be able to give the future books in this series a 5* review.

While this book was written for the teen ages, it is an enjoyable book for all ages. Plenty of action, and romance for all groups.There are some editing errors in the book, but a regular spellcheck wouldn’t catch them because the word errors were spelled correctly. To catch those errors an editorial type check would have to be used.Despite the above, I highly recommend this book!

Hello,+ + +Cheyenne is a blacksmith, its original.Author made a lot of research, about weapons, about the grec mythology , and the blacksmith’s trade , just for that she desserves a lot of stars.We are used to have book about hades/ poseidon / zeus etc that it change to have hephaistos’s daughter as protagonistI wants to know the rest of the story.The book is not perfect, but the job is done 😁Emilie

Brilliant book and a welcome relief that the heroine, isn’t a major Demi god . Definitely be getting more from this author

I really enjoyed reading this book, the characters were well defined and allowed me to picture the story in my mind as I read. It seamed more like I was watching a movie then reading words which in my opinion is the sign of a good author and great story.
