This re-packed unit should probably have been sold by Amazon in their like-new category. I don't think the seller has any control over that so not a consideration here.The light is very bright, it does this by using the daylight type color. It's not the pleasant 2500K or 3000K you would want to use in your home but for lighting up a work area or a storage locker that's doesn't have lighting it makes sense to have the maximum amount of light you can achieve with the least amount of draw on the battery. This bright daylight type color does that. It would provide many fewer lumens if you wanted soft lighting.The folding is a nice option for when you want to light up a room so that you can point the two lights in near opposite directions. You can also face them the same way for maximum light. The ability to have either one or both turned on is nice. It will also extend the run time on the battery when you don't need the full output and can run on one side.I read another comment critical of durability. I'd say this is pretty well designed, well suited to home use or even occasional use as a job light for a tradesperson that needs light occasionally, peering into a ceiling or working briefly with breakers turned off. I wouldn't hesitate to take it with me for quick spot lighting like that instead of dragging out the corded halogen work lamps although that isn't what I purchased it for or expected.If I was to redesign it, I would consider facing the two lenses together for storage and transport to offer them some protection but it was clear looking at the pictures that it wasn't part of the design so I wouldn't dock it any points for that. I read a comment that it was small. I really don't think that is an issue. I have much larger hands than most and, when folded, the handle part is just fine. I'm more concerned with light output and dispersion and appreciate getting that without a lot of wasted material or taking up unnecessary space when I want to tuck it away and store it.I haven't used it long enough to comment on the run time on a charge.I was looking for something less expensive than buying the high output LED work light option available for the name brand 18 Volt multi-tool system I have.This provides a lot of light, more than I can get with any of my good quality rechargeable flashlights with the multi-LED option down the side. Overall I'd say it is well built for purpose and very good value when sold for tens of dollars and at a fraction of the cost of the work light option for my brand name multi-tool system.I am happy with the purchase and would purchase it again.
