This Flow Hive is my second one and seems same as the first one which was much more expensive.
I've got this beehive as a THIRD PURCHASE which seems great for the cost, looking at the situation through the eyes of an engineer. The first one in 2020 would have cost £240 but Amazon credited part of the payment due to the seller which was different to the seller I bought this hive from not making it clear the plastic flow units were not with the wooden bee hive!.My reckoning is that I've saved £70 compared to the same item I bought in July.I've learned that this hive it is a Langstroth Hive which is a good size and is bigger than a National. The purchaser has to buy separately the brood frames and wax foundations.Perhaps the manufacturer might add these as an extra which may well be cheaper than a separate purchase?I'm looking forward to putting this bee hive ,once assembled at the side of my very first one which seems to be doing very well and expanding. Will I see bees next spring I wonder? The bees now March are alive and busy!I would dearly like to know what the engineering differences are compared to the £600 or more, unit. The Australian inventors were made into millionaires it has been stated, so it seems some hives can be overpriced in my opinion. In 2015, Frederick Dunn's first 'Genuine' Flow hive 's finger/box joints were well out of tolerance & he had to machine them to make the assembly fit properly You tube === professional well worth watching no matter how extensive the experience the viewer has.So 2023 now have 3 Flow frames. I love em and the bees of course.

Issues with construction, part missing
Good quality product but the instructions for assembly are designed to confuse, the diagrams are inaccurate, the product is not supplied with any photos at all. All this makes for an extra hour or so of working, for two, plus we found that there was a part missing. Really frustrating. Sort of simple for them to fix, perhaps spend the extra on the British Original Product. Even the notorious Ikea instructions give a layout of all the parts and number them, it's a product designed to frustrate the builder. Sadly slow reaction from them also. So far.

No instructions, sloppy cuts that don’t fit together
This is obviously a knock off the original, price is 3rd of the cost so I thought I’d give it a go. If you do - get yourself prepared for a DIY ride of hell, I needed a bag full of tools to assemble. No instructions also hasn’t helped, of course. Ended up separating parts - roof, brood, super and try the Lego method, eventually managed to work out what goes where except for the front board of the brood box took about an hour as I did not want to put any nails in just in case it doesn’t work and I needed to return it. It was so badly cut I ended up cutting off bits of grooves one at a time to ensure I don’t slice off too much so that a gap is left on the next one. Probably an hour there. Eventually to the roof holes drilled wrong had to improvise just to put the thing together. Handle bolts - screws too long for the top mini door on the super, need an angle grinder to cut about half of the length. Eventually, I did put together, however will not know the quality of super frames until there’s honey in spring. I do have doubts though since the octagons don’t quite seem to come together in a nice shape - there are gaps where honey is likely to leak before this is desired.I don’t typically write reviews, but I felt like I had to in this occasion.
