NZXT FN V2 140mm Performance Case Fan Cooling (RF-FN142-RB)

Bought a couple of these to get some additional ventilation in my NZXT S340 case because they're the same as the fans that already come with the case. I have them split off the cpu fan header so the don't run at full speed all the time. I can hear them at their normal operating rpm (about 900 rpm), but BARELY. I have my tower on my desk about 1' away from where I sit. When they ramp up they're a bit noisy, but not terrible, and they push plenty of air at full speed. They don't make any annoying humming or mechanical noises, and they keep my components cool even while gaming for a few hours. They also have some heft to them and feel like they're pretty good quality.

I'm very pleased that I went with these fans for my first build. The build quality is very sturdy. Each corner has rubber built in to prevent vibration, and as far as I can tell it works very well in that aspect. These fans are very very quiet at 5v, and only slightly louder at 12v (although strangely, I see no temperature differences when running funs at max speed compared to lowest...). There is no annoying buzz, just a very light 'moving air' sound. They also look awesome, fit my black/white build perfectly.I'll keep buying these fans til the day I die if they stay at this price... (7 bucks).Noise: 5/5 Almost silent, don't see any difference temperature wise though between 5v and 12v.Build Quality: 4/5Feels great in the hand, however I notice a very slight 'jitter' when the fans are spinning. The fan seems to be slightly moving from side to side, but as far as I can tell doesn't effect performance or noise.Cooling: 5/5I have 4 of these as well as 2 Fractal R2 fans, and all my idle temps are in the low to mid 30's. They move as much air as you'll need.

You could do a lot worse, but there are at least a few better options available for the price. I'd suggest getting something with more advanced bearings. PWM fans are also something to look into.Aspects of the fan I noticed.- It seems to take lower voltage well enough (5v). A bit more airflow than my "silent" fans when they were both modded for 5v.- The plastic feels solid. Not too thin and not too thick. I like those holes in the sides near each screw hole. You can route your cable through there.- I like the white/black color scheme.- The wire is nice and long, giving you routing options. It's braided which is also good.- The rubber nubs on the screw holes are nice for lowering vibration, though this fan seems to produce more vibration than my other fans labeled as "silent" from another company. Keep in mind this was even with 5v mod.- It's pretty quiet at 5v (you need to make or buy a special cable).- Rifle bearings are so-so overall. Spend a bit more and get something more advanced if you really care about noise and vibration. I ended up not using this fan as I bought three fluid bearing fans that had a lower noise profile after some testing at 5v.

The NZXT FN V2 is a wonderful product. Everything listed in the description was provided in the packaging.When it comes to shipping, it arrived sooner than originally expected, which was a pleasant surprise. I was also pleased to see that the box it was packaged in was un-damaged! The quality of the fan is very sturdy and extremely quiet. I recommend this fan for PC enthusiasts wanting that name brand at a cheap price.

I love these fans. Several of the fans in my computer case were looking more than a little worn and in need of changing so I took advantage of some downtime over the holidays to order new ones and was not disappointed with the quality of the NZXT fans. I replaced two 120mm and one 140mm fan. All of them arrived together. Shipping was fast and arrived ahead of the projected time. They call come with braided covered black cables and standard 3 pin connections, but include 4 pin adapters and black fan screws.I was especially impressed with the integrated rubber mounts for the the screws. This REALLY reduces vibration and noise. These fans are ULTRA quiet, but still move the air. I can literally year the sound of the air moving OVER the sound of the fans. Can't stress enough how impressed I am with these.

Be Warned! They do not send you any screws for the fan, at least they did not send me the proper ones needed for installation. Otherwise once you obtain proper screws, the fan is quiet and works like a charm.

I was looking for some budget 140mm fans for my gaming rig which is in the middle of a mid-life refresh. The old Cooler Master fans had lost significant velocity and we're no longer pushing much air. Once I got these fans installed I noticed a dramatic difference in operating temperature and Noise. These fans are quiet under normal operation and move a great amount of air. For the money I doubt you could do any better and my only complaint is that the mounting hardware that came with these did not work with my system. Fortunately the hardware that mounted the old fans work fine with these new ones. If you're like me and are looking for Budget fans and don't care about fancy LEDs or crazy marketing these are an excellent choice for you!

I had a NZXT case so I decided to buy 2 fans for intake. I had to place the NZXT sticker facing inside the case so it would be an intake. Everything works well. Dropped my idle temps by 10 degrees Celisus and under load kept it to high 70s low 80s. YMMV but I found it to not be as loud as I was expecting. Came with molex connectors but I did not use them. Nothing to complain about.

I am quite sensitive to noise but this fan generate absolutely low noise! Running max speed at 1000 rpm, I have reduced to 500 rpm using power resistors, and it literally generate no noise at all. Air flow is very decent considering the size as well. Hook it up to the MB that controls the voltage to control the speed of the fan, you will be good to go.

US-Ingenieure sind ja eigentlich phänomenal. Beim NZXT Phantom sind ja Schrauben, Kabelbinder, Magnetpads usw. ohne Ende dabei. Das die Langschrauben für diesen Lüfter nicht geeignet sind hätte man auch nicht gedacht. Die Kurzköpfe kann man nicht verwenden da man an den Korb gar nicht heranreichen kann. Gut ich hab ihn jetzt eingeklebt und er verrichtet ordentlich seine Aufgabe. NZXT sollte aber längere Schrauben im Lieferumfang beilegen.

Je cherchais un ventilateur de qualité et je me suis orienté vers ce produit de chez NZXT. J'en suis entièrement satisfait.Reçu dans les temps et bien protégé.
